Greg,You can get one of the 24" and cut it to any desired length, crown it, with a hacksaw, hand file, hand drill/ slotted screw (for crowning), blueing pen.Easy stuff.
Woogie, I have seen 24" barrels for sale that are NIB on ebay. The last time I checked a 24" cost about $45.00.
Greg, what's that? Do you mean you're up to it or you don't think you can do it?
Nice, let us know how it works out for you.Tomorrow I am planning to order a 24in .177 cal barrel and steel breech to convert my 2289. Other than recrowning it, I want to try it at the full length for a while and see how I like it. The gun already has some simple internal power mods, and I think the boost in velocity from the longer barrel will make it a good lightweight pesting carbine, provided I can find a pellet it likes well.
Chris, Assuming you're talking about the bolt and O-ring for the steel breech (not the stock plastic breech), have a look at the Discovery parts list:http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/BP1K77xx%20&%20BP9M22xx%20EVP.pdf
