I thought I would try a 10.25" .177 barrel I had on this 2240. It didn't seem to make a difference in Co2 usage, and I don't have a chrony, but it seems to have plenty of punch. It is very accurate with RWS R-10 pellets at 5 & 10 meters. I've ordered a 24" .177 barrel that I'm going to cut down to 12" or 14" to try on it. I have done so many mods on this now that I had enough parts to build a stock 2240, that's why I have two now.

I don't have a chrony either. Would be interesting to see what the 177 steps out at compared to the 22. I was hoping to stretch CO2 usage out a bit by changing out calibers.
I'm at a loss as to thinking changing to a smaller pellet will increase co2 output when you are still using the same valve volume? I would be interested to how this works.
I have both a 2300kt which is .177 and the 2240 they both run the same valves and I get a couple of more shots with the .177 but I only think that's because the pellets are half as heavy if that makes sense to you.
