Hatsan 25 Supercharger .177

I only have 100 pellets thorugh it s far but it seems decent.With my shaky hands off of a rest it groups under 2" at 25 meters off a rest with iron sights.
Any other experiences?

Not the 700 its supposed to do with a light pellets.Now it has 250 shots through it.Will the velocity eventually go up?Not that it matters because its shooting well.Not as good as originally but that probably me.Dieseling a bit still.

Remember, with a springer you usually need to use an "artillery hold".  Shooting off a rest is not always the best way to shoot for groups as the vibration from the rest can really impact your consistency.  Try resting the rifle on the palm of your hand instead of right on the rest itself. Don't hold onto it, let it recoil in as unrestricted a way as possible.

Well with a pistol my offhand isn't good enough to evaluate accuracy at 25 yards<g>I started shooting the gun held in hand wrists rested over bags similar to how i shoot springer rifles.But i found due to their cheesy free floating recoil less system the pistol it shot better when i rested that part on the bag.They all are different.

That's interesting.  Usually having it up against a hard rest is not a good thing.  I've found that resting it on my off hand under the fore end absorbs a lot of the vibration and can give some consistency.  It's similar to the artillery hold only in pistol format.  Don't grip the forend that much, just rest it there.  By the way, DON'T do this with a powder burning revolver...  What kind of trigger pull does yours have?

No, it was 25 yards(not meters oops...) and only the first range session! I didn't do as well later today on average but 3.5" was the biggest group and i got one that was just 1.5".The gun wants to shoot!Many times i get 4 of 5 just over 1" only to loose one wide.I have a soup can on a stick at 25 meters and from kneeling it's about a 1-5 hit ratio and fun enough to keep trying.I am a crappy pistol shot.

The trigger is the "Quattro" trigger and not half bad.

Last of the day.The gun doesn't appear to be overly sensitive to how i hold or rest it.i wonder if the shorter piston stroke has  anything to do with this.
its still a bear to hold through the shot as its still a wobbly  pistol.

the 25 yard groups are iron sights and with CP Magnums

the 10 meter groups are with a 1X scope and RWS Basic Diabolo's

So, how were you holding it for the 1.5" group?  Off the rest?  Do you have any padding between it and anything hard?  I've looked at picks of those, but so far haven't had a chance to pick one up to play with. A lot of power in a fairly compact package.

I held with the guns bottom sliding assembly in the bag with the trigger guard up against the sandbag.The gun was held pretty firmly, opposite of how i shoot other spring powered rifles.It may have been a lucky set of groups but it shows they have the potential to be accurate.The groups i showed were shot consecutively outdoors with a fair bit of wind.I think another member here has some groups with one much better than mine,i just cant remember where the thread is.

You made me look.  I'd not paid too much attention to these pistols, knew they were break barrels but didn't realize they have the recoil reduction system.  Now I'm curious as all getout.  The recoil reduction system probably throws all the springer shooting rules out the window (not that all guns follow all the "rules" anyway).  Go to the main forum page and type in Hatsan 25 Supercharger into the search bar - there's a lot of info up here already if one looks for it.  (You made me look!)

#1 pistol stopped being able to cock and grab the sear. The  auto safety sort of just rattled loose and circlips fell out..The whole gun became very noisy and about came apart in my hands with only 600 pellets shot.I decided to take a  chance and returned it for specimen #2.Already this one is WAY tighter than the first.The sliding recoil system is about twice as tight as well.The rear sight is zeroed about dead center and on at 10 meters just a few clicks up from the bottom.The original was all the way right and almost topped out to get on a 10 meters.This is the first four 5 shot groups at 10 meters (off of a rest open sights) after a quick wipe down 50 shots offhand at my 25 meter can and barrel swab.It seems to be accurate like the first, lets just hope it holds together.BTW is is almost 100 fps faster than #1 and reaches a bit over 700 with a 7g pellet.Now back to the scope to see if i can get some really good gruops

The recoil reduction spring on pistol #1 was so weak the frame would partially move back at the last part of the trigger pull and caused the gun to slightly point downward.I dealt with it as it still shot well but #2 doesn't do that.Mine shoots shot like yours or rested firmly on the bags.it doesn't seem to be very hold sensitive.They are pretty darn accurate.

Shot #2 at 25 yards off the bags a bit ago.I used the issue "fibre-optik" sights and a couple five shot groups were 2".Most others were (+-) 2-3/4" often with only one shot making it that large.I wish the trigger was actually adjustable.All you can do is go from bad to worse.Any tips on tuning the Quattro trigger?Even with that a Campbell soup can is an 75% hit % offhand at 20 yards.(today anyway)

I just hope this one holds up.I got it on a closeout for $89 at a local store that was just bought by another company and is streamlining their product line.I was lucky they had another to replace it with.I am not pistolero by nature but I hunkered down in the kneeling position with it i hit my 50 yard can a few times with the irons.(about 1-2 hits in 10 but a hit is a hit)

Learning to shoot a handgun is harder than learning to shoot a rifle - but if you put in the effort you can learn to pull off some "impossible" shots.  Your experience with this piece has really piqued my interest.  It sounds like a fascinating platform, wish they were available down here.

Both are hard to shoot well, the handgun is just more frustrating for me personally.The gun is heavy enough to be pretty steady in the kneeling position.I shot the last two groups tonight into 3" kneeling at 25 yards.That's about as good as i can shoot a handgun.its a good gun.
