Morning all,

Well after spending the better part of a week reading all the posts on the 13xx platform and remembering the fun had with one I had years ago. I bought another one!

I spent all Sunday afternoon going thru boxes in the attic looking for my old 1322 with the butt stock. No luck... I also had a CO2 .22 that was just like it. That one was leaking and I traded it back to Crosman for a back packer in early '90's. but cannot find that one either. I'm pretty sure that one is up at my place in upstateNnew York. Anyhow, I bought a .177 caliber this time too, as all prvious have been .22's.

I also ordered a red dot and a Crosman steel breech. Next will be the flat top piston and associated parts. The pistol should be here this afternoon according to PA.
First mod will be cleaning barrel and checking crown, then trigger job. After that some shooting!! When the steel breech and red dot arrive ill install them.

I'm also thinking ill make some stocks for them. I am really liking some I see others make and may "steal" some ideas from them.

All this to help pass the time for my Steroid MAC1 special Sheridan!

I haven't yet given up completely, on getting my original 'Dan back either. I'm Just preparing myself for the increasingly obvious conclusion...

More on the '77 to come!!! This air gun stuff really is addicting!!!

Also, I watched a clip where a guy used a lighter parts to mod his breech and bolt. Then drilled and made a ext to seat pellets deeper.

Can anyone help me locate it again?

THANK YOU DAVEB50, Thats the exact one I was thinking of!!!!!!! Yup no talking too! LOL I also picked up the correct lighter!!

It arrived and its as plain Jane as they come right now...

I shot it about ten times, works just fine. By this weekend I'll have wrung it out!!

Believe it or not, I had one!!! Im no smoker, but I had a few lighters I picked up who knows where... But its got the same style valve as the one in the video. I was gonna stop at some little stopNrobs figuring one would have them...

Hi All:
cw don't throw that lighter away just yet. Make sure to keep the spring you'll need it once you loose the spring & detent ball to your safety.Be sure to keep the little O ring as well . Also If you have a set of nail clippers make sure to keep the little chain that goes with it. There is your 2mm detent ball just clip the chain and keep the rest. I would also make a trigger stop they work great 1/8 "drill ,8-32 tap ,8-32x1/4" set screw. Any questions you have I'll be glad to answer them.

Well, I dusted off the pellet trap and set it up for some 10 meter shooting in the basement. I got some things to do this AM so I only shot about 30-40 shots.

Once I had the dot sited in, shooting off hand, using 10 Crosman Destroyers pellets and five pumps I shot this target.

I'm Pretty happy with that!!

After thorough research,

to understand what does what and why. I decided to make my own enhanced and extended bolt. (probe)

I started with the factory brass bolt. I drilled out the knob and removed it. I drilled the hole and tapped it 8-32.

Then I chucked the probe up in the drill press and using a file, I reduced the diameter .010 in front of the o ring groove. Then with a 1/16 bit, drilled a hole in the tip of the probe.

Then using a piece of 1/16'' stock, I first thinned it slightly to make room for the epoxy. Then cut to length and epoxied it into the probe.

Lastly I polished the probe with some 600g paper and re installed the O ring.

Then of coarse I installed it into the gun using the bolt knob that came with the steel breech and went and shot it.

Now I did not chrono this before in order to see any difference. But based on what others saw, its gonna be small maybe 5 fps.

Last night I started my FTP instal... I made the mistake of drilling too far back and drilled into the valve port ruining a perfectly good valve.

I was worried in hitting the O ring... SO I ordered a new valve and will do it correctly this time!! I also decided to make a carbine out of this one and ordered a Crosman butt stock.

I also Installed a solid pin up front.

I ordered a NCStar reflex site last week and the dot is just too big for my liking. Because of the butt stock I decided to install peep sites.

I also cut some Allen cap screws for the grip. I REALLY hated the stock screws!

I have always like good open sites and these are Williams site W/ target knobs for a 3/8 grooved receiver. I think it will go well with the stock and 18'' barrel that I have planned.

I also took a pic of the extended probe from the bottom. I removed it and took off that little ''post'' of brass. I was thinking I needed it for support, but I drilled plenty deep for that.

For those of us who do not have a drill press, I believe you can buy aftermarket extended probe bolts. I will have to do a little research, but I believe I have seen them in the past.
