1st SLSBA Central Coast Field Target match - this weekend

Weather looks good. About 70 both Saturday and Sunday. Low of about 50 Saturday night, so good camping weather. There are winds as high as 12mph predicted for Sunday. They usually pick up later in the day. Some of the closer, early lanes have some protection. Lanes 9-12 are more open with farther targets so we should have some fun with the wind. We are inland a few miles but still get the typical coastal weather and it can change quickly.

We set bases for the targets earlier but have never had targets on the course. This will be the first time that the lanes have ever been tested.

We will be having a tri-tip BBQ on Saturday night at the range. There will probably be 6 or 8 of us camping overnight. Any other competitors or those interested in field target/airguns can come out Saturday as well to site-in, talk, and eat.

There is free camping on site for contestants. Breakfast will be available in the clubhouse starting about 7am Sunday morning.

I'm hoping for 16-24 shooters. There will be a good contingent from CASA in Southern California. We have a few local shooters as well. We're going all out to make our first match a success. It is a one day match but since it is our first and there will be a lot of out of town competitors, we will try and provide all of the amenities that would be expected at a larger match.

The range is visible along Highway 1 between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. A couple miles north of Camp San Luis and Cuesta College.
