About to order a power hammer spring with a guide. What difference in terms of fps should I expect?

Well, the first step on the road to 25 footpounds has been made. The hammer spring/guide came in the mail today, along with a set of screws for the stock (I broke one off

) and a tin of crosman premier pointed pellets. I can tell that it's shooting harder, but not exactly how hard due to lack of a chronograph. It seems to take around two pumps extra now before the velocity levels off. Even pumped it up 50 times, but it still shot just as fast as 12 pumps

Here is my 1377. Just a fun gun to shoot and it was fun to add bling along the way. Flat top P & V, ext. bolt & handle from Roy at Mountain Air. Most brass came from him also. Crosman CCS 18" barrel and a TKO w/home made brass sight. Its a good shooter.

Also just had to do a 1322 . No internal mods yet. Just ext. bolt & bling.

Here's my 2289 and 2240,

2289:
24" .22 barrel, fiber optic front sight, shimmed pump cup, shimmed grip area in stock (needs some more after the cup shimming), squished sear spring and .22 shell sear spring guide

2240:
12" barrel that the 2289 came with, squished sear spring, .22 shell sear spring guide, 1701 grips

Both are good shooters, stock rear sight on the 2289 is a little lacking with the long barrel, bigger changes needed to move POI, might need to visit the crown...

Just thought I'd toss mine up too.
It still needs a few goodies, but it's almost there.
I just ordered the backpacker pump handle assembly from Crosman, $12.75 shipped, Yea !

I may have to go to wallyworld today and take a look at a cheap scope.
The red dot is not much good for my blind eyeballs beyond 10-12yds.

Bring back an old thread that got me started down the 1377 road.
This has Melon flat top piston & valve, Crosman extended bolt & handle. Powder coated the BNA aluminum breech & air tube & grip frame. Chavka front sight & Discovery rear sight. LW barrel.
It is just a pleasure to shoot.

Super pumper from RB and grips from ebay stained & polyurethaned.

The 1377 and 1322 are really quite amazing. I paid $39.99 for my 1377 delivered from Amazon. I shot it totally stock for a while and it was fun and accurate. So far, I have put on the Crosman rifle butt syock, and tried a couple of dot scopes on it with the Crosman Intermounts. It shoots just fine. I was using 3 pumps for 10 yard target shooting, but the gun would shoot for a while and then shoot blanks (very little pressure and would just push the pellet a little ways). I had used lube as you are supposed to. I started putting it away with one pump, and started shooting it with 6 pumps and it hasn't misfired since. I like this basic air gun a lot, and often shoot it every day at least a little bit. I'm thinking of picking up a 1322, or the Doomsday Bugout gun. I like the idea of the quick change stock. Where I live there are no high end pellets. Just a few Crosman and Daisy and that's it. Shipping can be spendy to this island too.
