1377 owners: get in here!

Like Steve said, the only special tool is the small 0.05in hex wrench and Crosman includes it with the steel breech.  My advice is to throw that screw away once you take it out the first time, and replace it with a good quality #4-48 with a slotted or Philips recess.  It's just too easy to round off a hex recess that is so small.  Don't fret if the head strips out on you, just drill off the head and the breech can be removed, and from there the threaded shaft left behind can be removed with your fingertips.

I've taken apart all of my guns with that screw (1377, 1322, 2289 and 2240), some a couple times and I use a T-5 torx bit, with the sharp corners of the torx bit it doesn't strip things as bad. I just use one of the mini screwdriver sets with a bunch of bits from Harbor Freight that are like $5-7 depending on sale...

I don't have a chrony but I can tell what I did as far as power mods.

-Long probe bolt
-Flat top piston and valve
-12" barrel

Yes those are the 459MTs. They work good with light scopes and dot sights. I had an extra one so I made it look like a one piece mount.

Hey CW, any good videos out there on how to cut and crown a barrel? Not sure if I already asked, but here goes anyway.

I have always don't it with a length of tape and a hack saw. It takes practice to stay square. I then true it with a good file in the vice. This time it was short and small enough That I was able to chuck it up in my drill press and true it with a file while spinning.

For crowning, I use my batt drill with a brass round headed wood screw and some valve grinding paste. Go slow and make ever changing circles otherwise you will get a trapezoidal cut.  Go slow speed, the steel is VERY soft!

Intimidating the first time, but not very hard and as I say, made easier as the steel is soft!

Yes nick it's the mellon adapter but this stock doesn't fold. I have a folding stock on another 2240.

Rattle cans. Strip and sand the metal first, then DupliColor etching primer, Rustolium paint, then Rustolium matte clear.
