Simple build, to say the least.

Nothing wrong with that build. If you've never installed a p-rod trigger group before, make sure you fill the hammer groove or get a solid hammer. I had to file the sear slightly to clear the compression tube.

If you find the 1399 stock a bit wobbly, you can add a 3rd screw underneath which makes it rock-solid. Drilled & tapped same thread as the grip screws (#6-32?)

Good call on the stock mod!!  Thanks!  I'm sure it'll be loose, as I've never had a Crosman stock that wasn't loose.

Actually two. First was a rebuild upgrade mod of an auction find 1377 April 2001 build. It had a few issues internally and wouldn't hold pressure. Build list from Alchemy Airwerks:

• replaced the pump arm roll pin with a easily removable screw secured pivot
• aluminum breach
• ss extended probe
• right sized sear
• adjustable sear spring
• roller bearing trigger
• grooved ss hammer with hammer spring and guide
• bored exhaust port connector sleeve
• replaced connector sleeve seal
• fiber optic front and rear sights (to help with OES)
• valve assembly (high pressure, bored chamber and exhaust port)
• brass bar safety with safety spring and ball bearing (the baring was missing, spring mangled and some strange mod was done to the bar safety which still is puzzling me
• replaced all screws

I debured and polished the pump and hammer chambers, along with the contact areas inside the trigger assembly. I also polished the hammer. All the polishing was done to 1200 grit. Additionally the hammer was buffed with tripoli polishing compound.

I choose not to flat top the valve and plump piston, maybe in the future.

Pending projects for this pistol: cut the sear spring down to lighten the trigger it's close but still needs to be lightened a bit, replace the grips and forstock with ones that look a better and fit my hand better, convert to a red dot sight, change the probe handle and preload and shorten the trigger stroke.

I also need to get out and adjust in the new sights.

The other project is a new 1322, I did essential the same mods/upgrades with the exception that I didn't need to mess with the bar safety (for some reason Crosman sold it with the ball bearing, a unmaggled spring and an unmodified cross bar). Also I managed to trim the sear spring so that the trigger had a nice soft pull but does release with the frame is struck.

Ignore the clutter, assorted non-AG projects on the bench. I think I hid most of the other assorted stuff.

Bigger pending projects are another 1377 to mod out for my wife and fixing the stock on my Crosman 6500. I is there was 10% the information on it as the 13XX. As need to get some time in on the PB as well.

Was going to post pictures but they are to big. I'll reduce the size on the laptop tomorrow and try again. This is starting to be like work, and I do this to forget about work.

Hi, Brand new to the forum so I figured popping a pic up would be appropriate. I picked this 1377 up a couple days ago just for fun, I had one when I was a kid and the price was  right so its mine now serial number says it was made in Jan of 1998 and for an 18 year old pellet gun this is in great shape and took minimal adjusting to sight in tonight. I have the box and a little trigger lock that came inside the box as well.

Because of buying this one (bought it at a garage sale) I have another one that should be coming in on Friday with the black furniture which I will mount a red dot onto while I leave this one as it is.

The new 1377 arrived in the mail this afternoon, I haven't got a chance to shoot it yet but I snapped a picture next to the 1998 that I have. Notable differences, the new model is a lot lighter than the other and the pump arm is too slim, even slimmer than the older model and appears that the cut outs to make it look good are at fault.

There is a steel breech in the mail which should be here mid week next week, once that's done the red dot I have which is not being used is next.

Up and down when moving into position isn't a problem. I was wondering about when it is already extended and you have it shouldered, does it move then?
