15 shooters came out to a great day at Heavens Ranch. We were given milder wind conditions than usual with the average 1-3 mph with a few gusts to 5 mph but separated by lulls. The targets were set with more wind in mind and with some small 3/8ths, and 1/2" kill zones thrown in to challenge. The "Brinkley Skull" at 3/8ths was set at 20 yards. I forgot to announce that it would be double points so we did not do that.

The weather was fantastic. We had a thin marine layer that gave the most magical and soft light yet illuminated targets very well making ranging easy.

We had several ties as you can see but no one wants a shoot off. This was the first match of the 12 match CASA Grand Prix. Point totals will be posted later in the week.

This was my second foray into the heated competition of the open class and I am getting the challenge that creates the impetus to improve ones game. I left two points on the offhand and 3 on small kill zones. Time to buckle down.
