Just bought a Tech Force Jet from Compasseco this morning and await its arrival early next week. It is the Shanghai AR2000, and I've been waiting to get my hands on one for a few years, every since I saw them on the Shanghai site. Best thing, I got Eric at Compasseco to go for a deal for GTA members on the rifle. I hadn't bought a new gun since losing the day job to the economy in February. I'm glad to have the excuse and the cash to do this one now! I'm hoping it works out for a few of us, and that we have leverage to do this again in the future!

the price is good on the jet! i had to thow my wallet out the window to fight the urrrg! i'm tring to save up for something special, i'm gonna start the quest of "holy grail" of springers....R9.20,tx200, hw97.20 or .22.....it will be a long quest

Dittoz, I dunno. Can't hurt to ask. I've said elsewhere the 87 I had was SWEET. I'm hoping a few Jets sell, or Eric won't take me seriously next time... But hearing from the GTA forum can still enforce our presence!

Bart, have you been watching the classifieds? I've seen a couple of tuned R9 .20's on the yellow

Well I see it as a TF-89 with fancy thumbhole stock. I love the TF-89's. Great design and trigger setup. It seems everyone is jumping on the Gamo marketting band wagon.
Same power plants but different stocks....

At least the new Jet has a nice power plant but me for one am not into thumbhole stocks and I really do not think they cost them any more to manufacture. Did notice they added a riser to the rail on the jet though. Would of been even better if they had done the weaver style...

Hard to get a scope not to creep on these beasts.

It isn't a TF 89 with a thumbhole stock. It is much more powerful than a TF 89 or even a RWS 350. Now it may be the same internals with a different spring, but the power level is much higher. It is up there with the Super Magnums on power. I can't even cock it with one hand like I can a TF 89 or a 350. It is around 900 FPS with "normal" 14.5 grain pellets.

Mine is a hammer. The Thumbhole stock seems to help me with my hold.

I love the TF89s...That's why I bought the Jet. I have 3-TF89s.

If you are getting the TF89, call Eric and ask him for a discount for GTA members...All he can do is tell you it is for the Jet... But you might get an extra deal...

This is for my clarification: I understood Compasseco was sold to PyramydAir awhile back. Are we doing business then with Pyramyd? Is Compasseco still being operated as a separate company or is it necessary to try dealing with Pyramyd and its assorted problems?

Very surprised to have my Jet show up this morning. Took it right out to the yard and took about 50 shots using open sights at 10 yards standing -- no bracing. It is a stiff cocker, but no harder than an RWS350 or my Walther Falcon. I was a little disappointed that the rail was an add-on rather than something like the RWS 48. But I like the hold and balance. The wood stock is nicer than I expected.

To make matters more difficult, I also placed the pellet tin a few steps away so I had to reset my stance. I am posting the 4th grouping of 5. I took about 25 shots to site in with the open sights and get used to the feel. My first attempt at grouping was quarter sized, the next dime, the next nickle, and then the fourth was 5 straight bulls. The fifth was about a nickle again.

Considering this is brand new, and it was hitting really hard, I was very happy with the accuracy and power. I will get out the chrony and see what we're really doing tomorrow...but I'm happy so far!

The chrony results surprised me a bit...

Low: 899
Hight: 927
Ave: 915
Ex Spread: 29
SD: 12.6

I was using 18.2 gr pellets. I checked twice. And it was a brand new unopened tin. That is about 34 foot pounds. The equivalent of 1400 fps in 7.9 gr .177. That is WAY harder than anything I have ever owned (including Walther Falcon Hunter and RWS 350). I sort-a knew when it split open the wood block I've been using for shooting... But now it is confirmed.

Unless my gun is an anomaly, this is the go-to power gun. I was still pounding the bull through the chronny...

Upping the rating to awesome power...

I'd sure love to get someone else to do a chrony reading, just to see if you have an anomoly, thats some awesome power for sure. If they really will all do that i'll have to try one. J
