My local LGS has a 125th .177 I can get cheap.... yes, it's new.
It's last year's model...
Are these any good?
Anything I should know?
Are they loud?
Thanks
Tony

Personally, I'd say it depends on the price and your ability. My experience with several, and that of others, has been hit or miss with the 125's. Some do ok out of the box and produce good performance, still others are a mess and end up returned or exchanged for another. If the price is below $190 I'd consider it. I'd also keep in mind that out of the box, even the "good" ones are twangy, harsh and a handful. I highly recommend a tune on these rifles, even going so far as to tune it out of the box before even shooting. But that's me. A good idea is to buy one, put about 50 100 rounds through it, then chrony it. If it doesnt produce at least 28 fpe in 22 cal or 24 FPE in 177, and have a ES below 15-18, I'd return for another till I got one that met those levels, THEN fully tune it. If you don't feel capable of tuning one of these, I'd suggest looking at something else in the RWS or Beeman line, or consider sending it out for a tune.
One more edit.
I had a 177 125TH that showed the potential of these rifles. With 10 grain Air Arms pellets it would produce 25+ fpe and make nickle size groups at 45 yards easy. Just depends on how much work you want to put into it.

The 125th is a great value. You get a whole bunch of gun for a low price. Its very powerful for a springer. If you want a gun for hunting or just want high power for a cheap price, then its the gun for you. I like mine. Its no high end show piece but its been a very solid gun from day one.

I have a 125TH in .22 caliber and I love it. As soon as the Vortex gas ram becomes available, that is next on the list.
With that said, I avoid magnum springer in .177 caliber - WHY ? The velocity tends to be too high ( above 950 fps ) that accuracy suffers.
