Hatsan 95 Advice???

Planning on ordering the Hatsan 95. Just wondering what else I needed to order with it. I know a lot of people say it needs a better scope. Hopefully I can get to that soon after.  Is the dovetail mount good enough or would it be better to get a weaver adapter? If so, then do I need one with droop compensation? I'm not sure of any other things I should be asking about, I am new to airguns. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually the scope that comes with it is not too bad. I'd use it as is and think about improvements after you break it in with several pellet tins. Make sure you clean the bore before you start.

yeah the stock scope is not too bad..just adjust the paralexx  and its crisp enough to use until you want to upgrade.

For just a pinch more get a Hatsan 135 it has SAS shock absorbtion built into the stock. It has Max Power and it is also a tack driver lead on Lead at 16 yards and 20 yard targets with ease.  It will put your arm or arms in great shape but the power is worth the effort. I would think its no loader than the mod 95. inside shooting out the Video noise out side is much quiter than one might think. the shooter hear more noise than the citters down range. @ 20 yards I was punching paper when this critter came with in 20ft of my target. I let him go back up the tree to a 30ft over head shot and .
its worth the bit extra to have the xtra power. Ear thru shoulder sent this gray flying dead off limb 11ft back ontop of my sheds roof.
they both are tack drivers and scopes are going to be a issue I prefered for several reasons to go with the 135 right off. price was great for possible the most powerful .22 break barrel on the market. I knew the groups were going to be very tight even with the extra speed. Hatsan makes rifling to handle that perfectly.
I had been shooting Crosman .22 Premier HP hunting pellets. they are with serious impact for sure and tight groups is a plus.

The 95 has SAS as well, in the break barrels there seems to be two basic configurations, 1000 & 1200 fps (in .177) the rest of the differences mainly appear to be stock changes (there is an economy line without the Quatro Trigger).  The 95 is no slouch in 800fps .22/ 1000fps .177.  Its fairly short barrel isn't a breeze to cock but its not to bad.  The nice wood on the 95 can be real easy on the eyes, though they did get kinda NASCAR with the labeling elsewhere,  the materials used are far better than anything from China in this price range. 

If you get it for under $150 as its been frequently offered recently its a good deal.  The sights are good if not target precise and you can use the scope for at least the break in.   That will also let you know if you have a drooper barrel.  I'm convinced if you do scope it you should invest in a stout 1 piece scope mount on any springer, the two piece just don't hold up under recoil as well and its been said the extra flex also shortens the scope life.

I agree with Hulkberry. I got my rifle from Rick Eutsler's AirGun Pro Shop. It came with a Hawke 3-9x40AO scope and a BKL one piece mount. A great gun for 150.00. Very accurate

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. I saw where the 1000s is pretty similar to the 95. I know the 95 has the better trigger and the sas recoil. My question is how much of a difference are those two things gonna make? This will be my first airgun so I'm not really sure what to expect. Obviously I like the price on the 1000s better, but if its worth the extra then I'll go with the 95.

I think you will find the Quattro trigger and the SAS worth the extra on a Hatsan. My Mod 99 which is very similar to the mod 95 is a very nice shooter. The trigger is very good and without the SAS would be very harsh.

I would not buy another Hatsan without either SAS or Quattro. So much better than my old style mod 55.

Honestly the trigger on the 1000s isn't bad..until you use the qauttro trigger .My 95 spoiled me. For the money the 1000s is good..for a little more the 95 is GREAT.I like the SAS too,but for a "light" gun the 1000s has a manageable recoil

I was told by PA that the Hatsans Don't have droop probelms. I have shot the 95, 125 and 135 and neither of them had the problem. If I got one that did I would send it back.

My 95 doesn't have droop,  it has rise.  I had to use a RWS one piece droop compensated mount installed backward to get my guns scope within an adjustable range.  Can't send mine back cause I have tuned and lubed.  Don't want to send it back anyway it shoots fine now with this setup.

my barrel is also moving a little to all directions.. i think i will send it back to factory
