Welcome back everyone. Beginning 2013 this match have been modified to include ALL types of powerplants. The target sheet would be the one used in the Bench Rested 30Yd Rifle (Non-PCP) match (1 1/2" bull).

Indicate the powerplant used....Spring Piston and Gas Ram would be in one category, and Multi/Single Pump or PCP would be in the second category since the air rifle would not "Jump".

This match you would be able to enter two scores/target sheets...one for the 1st and the other for the 2nd category.

Due date for the first match of the season is Sunday 14 April 2013.

Unfortunately, there wasn't too much skill involved and I'm imagining that a 200, 20X is readily achievable with a slightly higher end gun. PCPs make this target pretty easy at 30 yds, assuming that you've found the right pellet and know how to use a scope. We'll see how the matches go, I guess. Maybe if only 2 more people submit, I'll be on the podium!

I plan to post one with the FX, if it ever quits raining here. I currently have a 50 yd zero for dispatching starlings in the back yard.
Did you re-zero for 30 or just use mildots? How do you like the hawke scope?

Thanks... I zeroed at 30... I only takes me about 4 or 5 shots to dial it in within a click or so, so I do it. I like the scope well enough. Not bad for $200, but the reticle lines are a bit thick. I'd like to bump up to a Sidewinder at some point, or not. In any case, my cash is flowing elsewhere at the moment (fill equipment!)

Sweet TX. 30 yards Hawke Eclipse at 10 mag. Bag rest front seated. Breeze left to right at bout 5 mph and cloudy.
There was a little earthquake while firing, but I soldiered on!!!
First time posting here and this was fun!!!

Thanks! You ripped it up with the TX. Keep up with the matches! The more the merrier (and they are fun too!). Oh, someone else may say this, so I'll say it now: post a little info about your shoot, like this:

type of sights or scope
pellet
score (and how many X's you got - they can be used as a tie-breaker if two scores are the same. For this match, an X - someone will correct me if I'm wrong, is a pellet completely inside the black, not touching the edge of the bull.)

I just copy and paste mine from match to match so I don't have to remember what details I should include. It'll make it easier for the mods to put the scores together at the end of the match...

Just put on a 20MOA mounting for 100 meter plinking, soo might be a bit of holdunder,,

Ha. For the 10 m off-hand match, I shot the *wrong target*! I had to squeeze off a few at the correct one to stay in the game. I'm not really used to where all the pertinent information is for all the matches yet, so I get confused on what's what occasionally.

Oh this looks like fun! I'll be a bystander for now, but I hope I can jump in eventually! With the HW77 out of commission for now, I'll have to get used to the 97KT and find the right pellet (what worked well in my 77 is horrid in my 97 grrrr...)

Got this one in before a spring snowstorm hit us. Didn't have time to go to a gun range.....so shot it in a field near my place.
This one would go into the "Jumper" category.

The wind got me! 5-7 mph With11 mph gusts. Zeroed in left to right wind and it did a 180 (r-l)half way through. I think I learned something today!

I'm not elegable for this one as I didn't have time to get out to the 30 yard area... I ended up setting up 25 yards outside my den and shooting from inside my den on the floor... it's still cold and blowing today (it was snowing this morning!!), so I wanted to be able to stay warm.

I set out to do this thing with one sheet. I didn't want to shoot 3 sheets and take the best one, so I nailed one up, shot and this is what I ended up with.

In all, I'm happy with it. There was one flyer, the rest are my pulling it, or the wind gusting at the wrong time.

This is a ton of fun, and I will be doing this every time.... I might even put a reward in if I dig something up for the winner some time.

Note: The hole in the upper left is from a nail....
Note #2: I was getting into a grove till the wind blew over my backstop.... UGH!

Had an entire week of great shooting weather, but no time to shoot. Finally was able to get out this afternoon and had to fight through 15-25mph winds and light rain. Not my best effort, but given the conditions I'll take it.
