Mrod Bipod

Any recommendations for a bipod for my MROD?  Would like to be quick on quick off.

I have one of the 9"-13" Blackhawk folding/pivoting bipods from wallyworld and am  happy with it.

On edit, the Caldwells are ery nice also, and Harris is always a top choice but pricey too.
I highly recommend a bipod with the "pivot" function, and adjustable tension/resistance, as this allows you to level the rifle on uneven surfaces. I tried onne with both "pivot and traverse" functions, (traverse can also be called "swivel',.. i.e. side to side), and I did not care for it at all.
Way too much wobble/slop in those for my taste.

Also you need to decide on the spring loaded legs or "notched" legs.
mine are the spring loaded, and they are fine,... but I think I would go with the notched leg type if I was to get another one. I think they might feel a bit more solid.

They can be found cheaper on amazon but that bipod is the best I have used thus far, beats harris hands down.

Cost is not a factor.  Easy on/off & least bulky & lightweight are important.

Also wondering about if there are any which the same adapter for a standing option.

it slips on and off with one spring loaded catch that's easily operated with the thumb or fingers

you can get additional stud mounts and use one bipod for all your rifles

I had this one on mine, it is really nice.  It also has either a weaver rail mount or you can mount it to your sling swivel very easy.  The other nice feature is that it has rubber on the mount, so no scratching your gun.  It is made really well too.

I picked-up this UTG one from PA: https://www.pyramydair.com/product/utg-tactical-super-duty-full-metal-bipod-quick-detach-lever-lock?a=4625 for my .25 Mrod.  This is my 1st Bipod, so have nothing to compare to.  With the sling/picatiny mount, it does meet your easy on/off requirement.   It hasn't seen allot of use yet.  It is too high, even at the retracted position, for my shooters bench or deck handrail.  Sandbags are still better.  It is good at my picnic table height.  I haven't done any ground prone shooting with it yet.

UTG has some new quick release bi-pods and they come with the mounting hardware that mounts to the factory sling stud. I have a a couple of their older models and for what they are they get the job done quite well.
