Just curious... I like to buy actual U.S.-made stuff, and not just stuff marketed and/or designed by U.S.-based companies, but made elsewhere.
I realize that in the "world economy" we now have, very little is ENTIRELY made in the U.S., not even Harleys! I am not trying to split hairs. I just want to try to buy U.S.-made products where I can.
So, are any of these neat, new break barrels Crosman is marketing made in their N.Y. factory?
Thanks for any insight into this any of you may have!
Dave
Okay, I DID buy a Russian-made air pistol. And, it's a darn good gun, too. I was curious about Russian products, and I'm impressed.

Many of the production models we get in the USA, are China production guns. Mike Mellick is a guy here that imports these Chinese guns and goes thru them, and also tunes them, to give you a good shooter versus the box store alternatives. Here's a link to his site if you're interested. He's a member here in the "Vendors Gate" also:

Like was said above most of the Crosman Break-barrels are made in China. However their recently discontinued NPSS was made in the USA. I haven't heard of any Crosman Break-barrel models more recent then that one that were built here.

I have a .177 Benjamin "Legacy" from NY, trust me its not a good gun (2004-2007). I could be wrong but I don't think there are any US break barrel rifles currently. In the medium 1000fps range almost all Crosman's are B19's which are a Gamo action nockoff. Another choice is the Diana 34 knockoffs like the Ruger, they also offer a Diana 350 knockoff action. The Turkish guns tend to be all about the fps and the german guns are fairly consistent. The last couple years the Chinese guns have contracted/reduced emphasis on direct selling and concentrated on partnering with brand names to get access to their sales channel. Unfortunately that has slowed and stopped development on the higher end clones and or original products from China at least from a visibility standpoint in the US.
