how long to pump up a 480cc

ULTRA is 500cc

 after you top up the most efficient way to go is, shoot one Magazine than top up again and so on, that way it gets you back to shooting in seconds.

500cc is the reservoir of the Ultra for comparison, I used to pump 2 of them beasts

Got ya Pirate. After every 10 rounds pump her back up. Then when I am ready to call it a day shoot her down to 100 bar. Makes life easier. Are their problems when a bottle is left at 200 bar?

You can leave all guns fully charged, in time, and I mean tiiiiiiime the high pressure might distort the valve resulting in loss of power, but the valve is easy to replace.

I just got in the habit of storing at 100 BAR, still there's lots of power left that if you need to pick up the gun to dispach something it will do the job

Lets see...takes about 45 pumps put in 1000psi (from 1K to 2K) on a 135cc Discovery.  If the discovery volume was  3.56X as large (480cc's), that would be about 160 pumps per 1000psi.

Takes about 80 pumps to get an M-Rod's 215cc's up 1000psi (2K to 3K)....so if the M-rod had 2.23X as much volume, would need about 178 pumps.

Going to have to guess about 165-180 pump strokes per 1000psi.  So the first time you fill from empty, it's going to take a lot of pumping.

They never send them empty, usually 100 BAR is in the gun already

I hope this Hilpump is more efficient then other pumps and easier to work with. I have heard good things about them.

LOL, those first pump strokes below 1000psi feel like no air is going in!!
Oakey, just pump, you will get used to it and build some muscles as well . Pumping is totally not funny in the summer.

Bought 2 scuba tanks 80 CF Aluminum.   Hill MKIII pump sits in closet.  Top tanks off every few weeks ($6).  Shoot 200-350 a week.  Always fill from 1500 - 2800 with one tank and top off to 3000 psi with other.  Takes about 20 secs and no pumps.

Rob, 200 bar is just less than 3000 psi.  100 bar is about 1500 psi.  Pumps usually have both scales on them.  Guns that have gauges may only have one scale on them.

Bar is another unit of pressure.  1 bar = 14.5 psi = 0.99 atm = 100,000 pascals = 10 N/cm^2 = 750 torr and so on.  So, 100 bar = 100 x 14.5 psi = 1,450 psi.  200 bar is 2900 psi (close enough for most folks to 3,000 psi).

There are many ways to express the same amount of something in different units, depending on what country you are from (i.e. what standards are taught in your country), what field of science or engineering one might participate in, etc.

Remove the "m" from your bar expressions and you are correct...  1 mbar = 1/1000 bar.
