FX in .25 Cal ?

Anyone owned or tried out a .25 FX Royal 500 ?     Says it is really quiet.  Any comparison to the Daystate Air Ranger in .25 cal?

I shoot a FX 500. At first I was a little worried about the noise level for backyard use. But that is NOT an issue. This thing is super quiet. Jim at Precision was kind enough to let me try this and an airwolf with hugget (in .22 cal), and also an air ranger (.25) out before I made my decision. Honestly I could not tell any diffrence in the noise level btw the royale 500 and air wolf. The air ranger was definitely louder, but also more power.
All three were uber accurate. I made a list of everything I was looking for in a AR before going there. Accuracy, noise level, shot count, fit and finnish, feel etc. The regulated 500 fit that list perfectly.

Mike- I dont have 500 but I do have a Indy in 25 and it is "backyard friendly" ... no complaints from the neighbors .... I do believe the baffling system is the same on both rifles ....

Tony you were lucky to try all out before buying.  Great info guys.  Have either of you fired a MROD?  Idea of quietness compared?

A friend of mine has a .22 MRod. We have fired them side by side several times. The FX 500 is significantly quieter. No PIIIIIIINNGGG after firing.
Not sure if it matters but his MRod is tuned to 30 shots at 30 FPE??

I ve got a Air Ranger with just the shroud in 25 and Fx500 and the 500 is quiter I have had a hugget shroud on the air ranger wiht that on its pretty close to the same as teh 500 for sound but alot shorter. accuracy has been good. I have mine about a yr now it is my favorite gun . I optted for the regulator and gald I did I get 70 shots from 878-884 for all 70 shots no curve just a flat string. which really helps wiht long range shooting I love my ranger but my FX500 is my favorite. I have a Mrod 25 as well the 500 is quiter. I like the triggers better on the 500 and air ranger over the mrod. you can not really compare the rifles they are very different. The Mrod is nice for what it is and can get close wtih mods but its will never be that same.

I also have the regulated version. And very happy I went that route. I'm getting about the same numbers as you are. 70 shots @880-886 FPS

I have owned both and sold the 500, it is quieter tho.

Pretty sweet rifle hey you getting good accuracy too>? I gotten 1/4 in groups at 50 yrds and have no problem womping a 1" spinner at 80yrds

Not too horrible, still working on a bench to stretch it out a little. Haven't missed anything out to 60-70 yds yet.

Newcomer here, I was hoping to be able to offer a report on my Royale 500 that I received late last week from Precision Airguns and Supplies, but upon taking out out of the box I discovered that it was defective.  Either the bottle is too long or the barrel is too short -- the "bottom" of the cylinder (bottom not as it's oriented on the rifle, but if the cylinder was standing up like a SCUBA tank) was jammed up against the shroud (?), bending the barrel upwards.

I'm disappointed that a brand spanking new rifle of this quality is going back to the importer (Airguns of Arizona) without me so much as being able to fire a shot.

I hope AoA doesn't take too long.
