The Hawke 17021S fits the 11 mm Dovetail to Weaver rail base and is adjustable. It has a lot of adjustment and you can zero in your system to the point where only a fewclicks of the scope turret will be required to be dead on. It is available here under the Scopes/Hawke/Accessories linkand also at other dealers.
This is what you have?CenterPoint Optics 3-9x32 scope with quick-lock mounting systemThere is no parallax adjustment with that scope, probably set at 50 yds or more. Are POI's consistent? Are you using 3X or 9X? Try 3X, parallax will be worse at 9X.
The scope is fine. Shooting approximately 1/2" ten round groups at 10 yards with aproximately 150 pellets fired. Also if you remove the end cap you can adjust the parallax so that it is clear at most ranges. Same as any other scope. I am new to air guns not guns in general. No offense. Will be updating the scope in the future but want to see what the rifle can really do.
I take it 10 yards is all you have to work with.25 yards would be a better zero, and would not require that much shimming, of the scope. An adjustable scope mount is still nice.
None taken. I assume POI is much lower than POA? If so, are you running out of elevation adjustment? If it won't zero, either too much droop in the barrel or the scope is bad. Try a different scope. No sense trying to compensate for a bad gun or scope.
...About 3" with the scope about 3/4 of the way adjusted. Also I'm not chasing a zero now that it is shimmed it shoots very consistently to the POA.
You said that you don't like the way it's shimmed, i.e. 4-layers of beer can.I saw a video recently, where they used 2-layers.Found this: The fact is that most of today's spring-piston air rifles point down to some extent. If the angle is small, you can correct it with the scope adjustments. If it's large, you need an adjustable scope mount.
Unfortunately, all the compensator mounts are dovetail & yours is Picatinny/Weaver. That leaves adjustable rings which are expensive.

The best option with a Weaver rail airgun is the Burris Signature rings with the offset inserts. The adjustable mounts I have tried typically won't hold zero on magnum airgun.
