my question is if you get the disco tube and have to cut it down, don't you need threadding at the end you cut down?? for the fill adapter?

when i had my tube cut down it was re-threaded to accept the fill adapter
the tube has to be opened up(reamed out?) so the tap would fit.i dont know how much though
it was 25" now it's 15" using an un modded valve i get 20 shots ranging from 660-900+ fps
with the modded valve i get 10 shots between 38-32 fpe and it is very loud

nope... but i think that the valve spring might not be the right one with the larger drop on air pressure that a small volume tube is subject to. maybe a lighter spring in the valve, which will allow lower fill pressures and a lighter hammer spring... but that would yoeld a lower fpe... we are just scaling down the rifle action in the name of a flatter power curve. i have a variation of 40 fps between my first usable shot and the last usable shot (18th). in paper at 25 yards is a minor variation to POI. it still groups under 1 inch and that is good enough for hunting. i am going to try to run it with co2 to see if a more consistent pressure will give me more shots at close to the speed that i am running now... the 1760 bulk i have shoots 32 shots inside a 1/2 inch at 20 yards with open sights. then the shots POI drops noticeably.

Update! In view of the release of the much coveted Prod, I updated my disco pistol.Now it is the size of a 2250 airtube, with a shroud that only sticks out 1 inch in front of fill probe, andchanged to .22. Tuned to shoot 14.3 crosman premiers at an average 550 FPS and gives you 16 consistent shots (no POI change). It is wicked accurate and quiet... Now lets find a Prod owner at the range and pitch them together...lol

I put a 2240 pistol grip on my disco with the carbine stock much more comfortable for me.
The I purchased a 2240 and a hi PAC power max from rodents rapture on this forum. I can fill to 2200 psi and get about 20 good shots with the green hammer spring it comes with. Also try Mike at TKO22 he will build you one for a good price and to your exact specs hope this helps

here i got my P-rod. total cost? about 120 dollars of parts. 16 consistent shots (+- 20fps) 550 fps with crosman premiers. very neighborhood friendly, accurate and about 1 inch longer than a 2240.
