The BEAST ate my new Hammers !!!

Sorry to say after about fifty rounds my 135 25 cal. ate my 3x9x40 Hammers scope. I had high hopes for that scope that Dan was using. Have to remember for that Dan's gun has been modified and tuned with some krytox lube. I sent the scope back and have placed a 4x12x44 Leapers Swat 30mm scope on it. I had this scope laying around but I am not wild about the windage and elevation knobs.  I am not saying to anyone not to buy hammers scope because I have a 3x9x32 on a win-1000 and It works great on that hard shooting gun.

Sorry to hear that let me know how the other scope works out I like the 4/12 series scopes.

there is something to be said about the 125 snipers, and probably the model 135 as well if it hits as hard as a 125S does.

definitely way different class than say a 1000 FPS rated .177 cal (which also tend to have inflated FPS numbers) compared to Hatsan Springers, which are fair, sometimes even a bit conservative with their FPS numbers

Tyrantblade , that win-1000 I had was a Hatan built gun and it  averaged 905 fps with a 7.9 chp. I had it tuned by shadow who mod the top hat and it shot very hard and accurate. The only down fall was the trigger. ED worked on it but not much more could be done. If you did your part it was a tack driver. The hammer scope on it held up well and still does after a 1000 rounds.

well, nonetheless 905 FPS with a near 8 grain pellet is far from 800 FPS with a 2x grain pellet.
