tko mods a band that works really well. I added it to my discos, on both .177 and .22. helped with poi changes.
Mine is a double-tube so I use two barrel bands provided by discosrus. JMO but I think the barrel is too thin to float well.
Don't think I missed any trials. No bandOne bandOne band "tromboned" up and down the air tube.two bandstwo band tromboned up and down the air tube X2.Three bands Band just ahead of the breech (needs some stock inletting) and one to trombone up and down the barrel.NONE of them really changed accuracy. Did change WHERE the pellets landed day-by day.So the barrel band seems more for consitant point of impact than it does for group size. Free floating made nice groups, but I couldn't count on those groups forming whree I epected them to be form day to day.If I had to recommend one, would recomend ONE BAND and the "6 screw" mod. Besides the top and bottom screw, add 4 other screws. two angling up to the barrel and two angling doen to the air tube. TIGHT to the air tube, just short of tight to the barrel.
Is there a preferred place for the band on the disco? I have mine in the middle of the barrel to equally support it's weight on both ends.

It would shoot a nice group, just not in the same place every time. Since I have added the second barrel band, my POI has stopped drifting around. It use to be that every time I took the gun out I had to readjust the scope to get it back on target. It always would shoot a small group, just not in the same place from time to time. Now with two (2) barrel bands it stays on target when i pull it out every time.
I use the 2 barrel bands mostly to keep the barrel in the same position when it gets knocked around while I'm bumping through the woods. I prevent poi changes by filling to 1750 and stopping at 1200.
I prefer my 2 "stock" as in factory bands, one where it was from factory and one about 1.75 inches back from end of air tube, May even add a third . Will report back with results of 3.Matt
MAy not be for you, but this is my most stable/accurate Discovery barrel band set up.One at the rear (requiring inletting of the stock) to keep the arse end of the barrel/breech stable and one at the far end of the air tube ot keep the barrel from wandering around.
