100 shot group @25 yards under 1.5 inch with MM QB 78 22 (picture)

ive been shooting some awesome groups with my qb 78 22 i got from MM, many groups were 1 ragged hole at 25 yards, i got off work and literrally no wind this morning temperature was 74 degrees slightly over cast. ive been shooting some gamo match diablos 15.3 grains and they have been incredible.  I decided i was going to shoot a 100 shot group and no matter how bad it got i was going to post it. i changed c02 3 times during the shoot. i set a 33 shot limit on each change of co2, with the rest of the shots until co2 was gone went on my spinner targets.
 I will say this was a mentally tiring ordeal i am by no means an expert shot and i feel under the right conditions i could do a little better. the first 20 shots were a little more then one ragged hole, i tried my best to give the gun a 1 minute rest in between shots it took almost 2 hours to complete. i had a couple shots drop a little low and i questioned what was going on, i got so anxious i had to go inside for a minute and come out and aim dead center rather then adhust because i knew the gun was dead on at 25.

The problem with posts like this? I might have to migrate from arm-powered rifles, soon, after seeing what these guns can do.

that is what i did!! sold my benjamin xl 1100, sold the gamo, i do have one pumper but from now on out it will be co2 or pcp.. this MM tuned qb78 has spoiled me

Recoil-less rifles are much easier to shoot than your average springer for sure... but it's a different game in some respects. I still have my springers, in fact the last 3 rifles I bought were springers. You can enjoy both types of shooting. I said facetiously in another thread that these guns can get somewhat "boring" to shoot, but I do still enjoy every shot.

After going through 2 scopes that were supposed to be magnum air gun rated and the fact in texas you cant legally hunt much with them id rather have something  easier to shoot well

Hate to say it but I TOLD YOU SO!!! When you first came on here I suggested a MM QB but you had some nonsensical gibberish about how mail order was out of the question and bought the XL-1100 anyway

yes you did!! the issue was paypal wouldnt take my check card from my job i got that straightened out, but luckily mr mike took money orders.  i sold my 1100 and the Gamo hornet springer.  i just dont like springers i had a couple when younger a rws 48 i still dont like springers  total different beast then these co2

I'm lurking here and quasi-hijacking, as this concerns QBs... My dad wants an AG, now (I planted the seed... mwa-hahaha), and I'm not sure if he should go with a HPA QB78/79, or if he should just get a PCP and a manual pump. I'd like to see if I can get him to start AG hunting with me (we always used PBs when I was a kid). Your thoughts would be appreciated. Howie, wow that's some serious stamina, nice work.  After a while you're pretty much just aiming at an imagined bullseye. 

Reading that you're using Gamo Match Diabolos, that made me curious about something.  I have a thread going in the General Discussion gate about pellet head sizes:

My sister-in-law gave me a couple of tins for Christmas and they had the worst spread in head sizes I've recorded to date...twice as bad as the next closest which also happens to be a Gamo.  They are embarrassingly inaccurate in both rifles I tried, one of which is a PCP. 

If you have some calipers or a micrometer handy, I'm really curious if yours measure substantially better.

what i noticed about the Gamo Diablos in my QB they are fine, but if i shoot them in my 2240 or my 2289 back packer its hard to close the bolt on them but out of my qb 78 22 they were fine.   im going to retry the same test with chphp 14.3 and see how they do with 100 shots, ill do this when the wind dies down
