I was zeroing the scope on the TX200, and i hear the Telltale sign of "Cutting" Behind me. I walk around the front of my house to see a BIG male nutter chewing on an Acorn. the TX was in my hand and loaded, so i quickly took aim and pulled the very fine trigger. I heard the telltale sign of THWAP and nutter rolled up. the pellet through and through'd.
Anyone who claims the TX200 is to heavy to hunt... it really is... but oh well.

Nice off-hand shooting Ed! That's one beautiful TX200 you got there. Heavy is ok. I got a 48!

Nutter thought the coast was clear with the barrel pointed the other way.....it thought wrong. Great shot and great photos.

Any of these guns will work for a backyard hunt or a sit and wait. It is when I have to walk up and down the steep ridges of TN that every ounce of weight matters! I've even started streamlining my predator hunting stuff for the same reason.
Just a beautiful gun! I'd like to have one, but I'd only use it for targets or if something is stupid enough to run around in my backyard.

well, the reason is, i had it lying around. I didn't pay for this rifle, because i can barely afford to rub a few pennies together. I wanted to buy a regular dovetail Accushot 1 piece mount, which i eventually will, but i didn't have the money at this time. The Dovetail to weaver adapter was on my Gamo Big Cat, which was horrible for scope creep... it actually broke off a stop pin on one of my other sets of rings. So i went the dovetail to weaver adapter, and it never budged. I figured, yes its way high, but oh well, it definatly won't budge... 4 screw scope ring caps, on weaver bases will never budge.

Thank you. I also sat on a flock of house sparrows today, and took out 4 of them. In between changing the spark plugs in the old beater (Truck) and replacing a tail light that someone broke when they misjudged how far away my honkin 4x4 was away from there front end. I was alternating between the TX200 and my CFX .22.... i didn't miss one.

Beautiful TX and great shooting. I've taken my TX hunting and she's gonna get to hunt many more times
Yeah, it's a heavy rifle, but I feel it's accuracy is a definite plus in the woods so I don't mind the weight. I will admit though that when I have her out hunting I'm verrryyy careful not to scratch the walnut stock
Congrats on the harvest and the shooter
