Any Crosman 622 owners out there?

I just finished rebuilding and refinishing the Crosman 622 that I have owned for 30 years.  I am curious to find out how many Crosman 622 owners are out there, and what modifications you have made to improve power or accuracy.

Had one for a while.  Kept jamming.  When I bought it, it was like new but had a cartridge stuck in it.  There is a small hole, etc, in the barrel at the breech end which is supposed to be there to help unstick a cartridge.  Mine had that but the stock covered it.  I had to disassemble the gun to get at it.  Small parts popped out and went every which way.  Once I got it back together, the clip would jam and I would have to tear it down, again.   Realigning that clip pawl mechanism was a pure joy.  When it was shooting, it was really quite accurate and I could put the full clip into a good group at about ten yards.  Wish it had worked better.  I'm sure yours is in good operating condition.  If Crosman had only made a manually indexed clip, that thing would be perfect.

Oh, and I'll bet that Tim at Mac-1 knows a lot about these.  I believe he used to rebuild the valves.

Thanks for the info.  I have read about the Mac-1 valve, and I may send mine in to have it pinned.  I have not had a problem with jamming, but I know how much fun it is to reassemble and keep all the parts and springs in place!
