i broke my R-9 in on super bears they shot the best up front as the gun broke in the pellets it liked seemed to change the best i found was FTS's ... 11.42 grain i tried a lot of them i have owned the R-9's in ,177 and .22 cal. the .20 outshines them all ...keep in mind i use it for squirrel hunting though and don't punch paper much anymore ...the pred's never shot well the JSB'S shot ok but once i found the FTS's shot well i just bought a bunch and stuck with them ...

Hey Tin...I doubt that I've fired mine enough to break it in yet. Any idea how many rounds you put through yours before it was broken in? Is your 9 stock or has it been tuned? Out of the box, mine had so much spring twang that I hated to shoot it. Some members here told me that was a normal thing for R9s and a tune was for the best. I sent mine to Shadow and he cured it. After reading your answer, I checked my sampler pack and found some Super Bears. From the looks of that slot, it doesn't look as though I tried 'em at all. I can't find 'em listed in my shooting book either. I guess I overlooked those. However, I DO have an unopened tin of FTS Double Gold that I haven't tried, so that's a start. Thanks for your info....
