So after having 2 Benjamin Trails totally fail on me I have decided I am going to return this one for a full refund and I will be going in a different direction. After a lot of reading I would like to get something from Mike at Flyingdragon. As of now I am thinking either the XS46U or the B28. What do you guys think? Would you suggest the full tune? I am looking forsomething with at least a 35-40 yard effective hunting range and something that's easy to shoot. I am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

The 46U looks like a nice rifle...and you cant go wrong with FDARs service....

That's wat I've been thinking too. I am almost sold on it but I have to wonder if I would want the gas RAM "upgrade" or not. ( I put it in quotes as I am not sure if it is any better or not).
BTW I see your in Peoria? I'm in jacksnville maybe an hour and some change from there. Thanks for your input.

If you're looking for an independant type (no co2 or air tanks) then the 46U is a good choice, fixed barrel accuracy. If you don't mind co2 then QB rifles are awsome from Mike!!

I was gonna say the same thing. More power isn't going to be easy to shoot, imo. A lot harder on the shoulder also, if you shoot much. And I wouldn't want to lug around a 9# gun (plus scope) very far.

B25 = RWS/Diana 34 / Ruger Airhawk / XISICO XS25

100% Agreed, Mike Melick stands behind his work 150%. I have NEVER heard or read any bad reviews on his rifles. If there is a problem, he fixes it before he ever even ships it to you!!

Mike is THE greatest. Can't go wrong with anything he sells. I also highly recommend the B25 and B28.

The 28 is a good gun. You will have more than enough power out of it plus all the accuracy needed for the shots your talking about.

Very impressed with my new XS28,.22 cal. Just got the standard rifle,with Mike's cleanup,and still with less than 100 pellets thru it,it is very consistent and packs great power. For my 30 yd. range I am happy with just the iron sights.
A great value for the money spent!

I had a B25 awhile back and tuned it myself and was getting 750fps out of it with 14.3gn pellets and it was pretty accurate more than enough power for hunting 30yds an beyond!!!!! no it wasn't target gun accurate but at 30yds it got nickel sized groups, it was a decent gun for the money! I got mine a few yrs back when they first came out and I ended up giving it to my younger brother!

I got my first air rifle from fd, a .22 xs25. I have had it a few weeks now and love it. I shoot around 30 yards and it is very accurate, quiet too. it is a good squirrel gun, I have eliminated some of them that had robbed my peach tree last summer

Both the B25 and B28 are great,Unfortunately my B25 in .22 is at my friends house serving as a racoon gun.Thats one sweet gun I won't see again,Thats a MM gun.The B28 is .25 caliber,Love/hate relation.Its tuned and hits hard just heavy and long.Thought about selling it a few times but then i go put a few pellets thru it and back it goes in to its case.If you decide on the B25 MM has them on sale now.I'm even thinking of getting another one with a full tune and shorten into a carbine from MM.Good luck with your decision.

strangely enough, especially for our brother Felix, no one recommended what is probably the smoothest (after a MM tune specially) and easy to shoot accurately rifle currently available from flying Dragon... I would put all my marbles on a nicely tuned B26 or b26-2 (if you like thumbholes) in .177. with a decent 3-9x32 or 40 it makes a great hunter as well as a all around gun... if not the b25 would also get kudos as a all around good hunter at that range. But the 26 in .177 will stretch your range to pass 50 yards with no problem.

yep the B26 is a nice rifle! if I wasn't a big fan of the .22cal I would buy another one, out of the 4 B26's I've had I got lucky and got a 26mm tubed gun and put a .20cal LW barrel on it and it was a fantastic shooter! it also was tuned by me with a Ralph Conn set back trigger that was fully adjustable!

Funny you should mention the B-26 as I happen to own 5 of them.3 were converted to fully shrouded carbines by Rich from Michigan just before he retired.They are in .177,.20,.22,The .20 caliber was a convertion By Rich using an L/W barrel.Those 3 rifles are on my Avatar.The other 2 are a B26-2 in .22 tuned by MM and the other is a .177 tuned by me with the help of Mike.Pics to follow

the B-26 is available in .22, or the 26-2 in .22.....just don't have it listed on the site as i have to convert each one from .177
