Custom Stock for FWB 124

Just wanted to show off my new Claro Walnut Custom stock.
I got it a couple of days ago but I was waiting for some sunshine so that I could get
some good pictures. Steve Corcoran is the master who made my stock. You can check him out on our good old GTA "Air Gun Retailers Gate"









I really like the way it came out and am very happy with my new stock.

I went by Steve's shop last Wednesday and he had your stock out and was kind enough to show it to me.   It's an amazing piece of wood and like so many others it difficult to do it justice with photos.   The figure and grain look stunning in the sunlight and his design really enhances that amazing action.

You know I was feeling a little bit jealous that you were able to see my stock two times before I was able to get my mitts on it. The "waiting" was the hardest and I guess maybe a few "in process" pic's from Steve could of helped. But hey -- The wait is over and now it is all mine. The stock does look a lot nicer in daylight.

You did the right thing.  Each time I've seen Steve now I'm either dropping stuff off picking up and I try not to bother him in between.   He said he's able to focus and do a better job for the guys that don't pester him much.   Sometimes it takes a little longer to work out the cutting to get the best grain or to put extra time into getting the finish as good as it can be and if someone is after him to hurry up he can't do his best work.  He's got a lot going on so I made a note not to bug him about mine and just give him time to do his best.   A photo update would be nice but I'd rather he spent that time making my stock even nicer.

The grain in yours really is amazing.  The design felt great to me.  I think you have an heirloom quality rifle there.

Your FWB 124 looks fantastic with that new stock by Steve Corcoran.  You can really see that tiger-striping now that the wood has been sanded and finished.  The design is a classic look and I like how the forearm of the stock is slim, and long enough to cover the barrel block. 

Did you have any dimensions of the stock custom measured to match your body shape?  Let us know how it enhances the shooting, other than making it take longer due to having your eyes distracted from the task at hand!

The forearm is not only longer but it is slimmer than the original stock. I really like the pistol grip with the stippling and it fits like a glove. There were no measurements that I provided to Steve prior to his "magic." I never realized that a higher cheek comb would make it easier/faster to sight down my FWB 124. I am really enjoying my AG.
