TX200 ordered. Couple questions.

I ordered a TX200 MK3 .177 in walnut yesterday. I can't wait to find out what all the fuss is after it arrives in a couple weeks.
I was wondering what scope mounts you guys use? I plan on using a Hawke Sidewinder with a 42mm objective. Could I get away with medium UTG 2 piece rings? I have an extra set. Or, is there a single piece that is preferred? If I need to order some new rings I would like to have them before the rifle gets here.
Thanks in advance.

I like the way BKL rings keep the scope centered compared to rings that only tighten on one side. I have used BKL rings on all my Hawke scopes with great results.

I will check out the BKL rings. Thanks.
Looks like I will have no problems with medium height rings.

the med will be very close posibly too close get the highs your tx deserves to be treated like a lady, she is going to treat you real good
those accushot rings look higher than my med bkl's

Med. rings should be fine for that scope. I had high ring with a 50 with clearance to spare.
I myself perfer sportsmatch adjustable. Keeps your scope closer to optical center.

The one piece BKL mount is amazing, it will never slip and requires no stop pins. If you are going to use a Hawke side focus scope you will need to file a clearance slot in the mount under the turret body for a screw that will interfere. Also, The .9" height is a bit taller that necessary for a 42mm objective. I believe the extra height is well worth rock solid grip of these mounts.

I have a TX200 MKIII in .177 too and I use the one piece scope mounts with zero problems. Once you get the hold down you can shoot very tight groups with the TX. I have taken birds out to a lasered 72 yards so far with mine. The metal and wood work is flawless to say the least.

Once for all I recommend you to use and single piece mount just and Sportmatch Dampa DM60 or a BKL one. As long as I know two pieces mounts are more indicated for PCPs and firearms, not for springers.
