What was your worst trade????? And do you want a "do over".

On a much, much lighter note,  how many here have a trade/sale/buy that you wish you could do over or not at all? Be it gun , car, truck, any type of gun etc.    I personally have a few.  The one I wish that I could undo is the 1957 Chevy convertible that I owned at one time.   This car had every option that could be had at that time.  It is now worth a fortune. But I did not sell it for a fortune.  My wife , to this day, still brings it up when she wants to give me a rash.  She deflates me pretty quick when ever she thinks I am getting the "big head".
 The car was in perfect condition, the top even work properly.

I traded a 1969 chevy ss camaro with a 396 ci 375 hp with a four speed I bought new and kept it 13 years for a truck, jeez!!!  I could pay for my house with that thing now. Thanks David

I know that this can be of any subject, but my worst one to date that I regret is actually an airgun..... I traded a brand new crosman quest 800x for 60$ on the GTA classifieds gate to fund a refurbished umarex steel storm automatic BB pistol. It was a fun plinker and a really cool bb gun, but everyday I think about the crosman quest, and how much I really liked it. I don't know what I was thinking that day. whenever a question about a Quest comes up in topics, i always tell this story, so I'm sure that to some people this isn't the first time they have heard this from me. at least the Quest is easy to find and a bargain at only 75$-100$ at pretty much anywhere, so I can replace it someday.....   on the lighter side, I did end up trading the steel storm for a brand new 1377c.....so at least that is better. I won't regret picking that up. it is one of my absolute favorites amongst my collection. many people love the 1377 and wouldn't think that I did too bad, but I will definatly have to purchase a storm, another quest, sierra, summitt, or vantage, which are all pretty much the same gun....

I sold a Marlin bolt action 7 shot .22 that my grandfather gave me for $50. While it wasn't worth much more in monetary value, the sentimental value has been eating at me over the years since his passing. This is the one that popped into my head first...

Jonesin,  sometimes you just never know in advance how much something may mean to you in the future.   There is nothing wrong with sentimental feelings.   And it is difficult to put a $ value on those items.  I'm sure your grandfather would not hold it against you for selling the rifle.

Thanks. He also gave me my Sheridan C Series, a .44 Ruger BlackHawk and a sporterized (short stock) .303 Enfield that I still have but that one...that .22...I could go way deep into it but it was the first non-single shot rifle I was allowed to hunt with without him around at age 10. Really, I wish I could say I needed the money for an operation or something but I was all of 19? 20? and didn't know that at 41 I would regret it this much.

Heck yes I want a do over!...Oh boy this thread kinda hits hard for me.My biggest regret to date was selling my custom pickup.I was in a pinch because I got laid off in 2008.Sold the truck for less than half it's worth.My truck was so clean you could eat off of it,"very close to show quality",and now two years later it's completely trashed.As a matter of fact I saw it just today,and was shocked.It looks like it hasn't been washed in a year,two different kind of tires on it,tweaked rim from an obvious curb shot,smashed roll pan,paint transfers,busted headlight,and all the stuff you just hate to see.I know it was just a truck but it was a labor of love,"five years in the making",did most of the work myself,and truly one of a kind.When you spend a good portion of your life as a pro auto detailer,car care distributor,and shop manager,this kind of stuff can get under your skin...
