Hello from Oregon. I just bought a 2400 kt and am already thinking of ways to spend money modifying it. As my title suggests, I want to be able to use one of my 4500psi paintball tanks to power it. I'm also planning to run the boss valve, gas tube extension, flow through bolt, hammer spring adjuster, hammer debouncer, adjustable sear, adjustable sear spring, brass trigger, crosmods breach and shroud, and some kind of optics that I haven't decided on yet. I am seeking some input as to what kind of pressure I can safely run into this gun. I have been told I could go up to 1500psi in the gas tube before blowing out o-rings. I want to be certain of what would be a good shooting reliable operating pressure before I order this new regulator for my tank. Any input would be appreciated.

a disco valve is less then 20 bucks from crosman and crosman only charges 4 bucks shipping on the entire order..
i went the air tube route with this custom built carbine. its a disco mixed with a ccs 2400kt.. built by lloyd sikes and so far has done 42.3fpe

I like that idea. The disco can handle higher pressures? Is there a sweet spot in the pressure range where it seems to be most accurate? It looks like I could run my air supply line into the gas tube through the gauge port to keep my air supply line shorter and cleaner looking.

if you tune it and increase the valve pin screws to 10/32 screws and played around with hammer springs and power adjusters you can get it run off higher pressures. my carbine is currently set to run at 2500psi..
a stock disco valve seems to love the 1800psi - 1000psi range for its sweet spot...
by air supply line do you mean the hose from the tank or pump ? if you go the tube route and have it cut and threaded for a shorter tube you just used a disco fill adapter also about 12-18 dollars from crosman it goes on the front of the air tube... the gauge was relocated because on a disco tube the gauge hole is right smack dab in the middle of the front grip.. so you would have to slide it forward an inch or 2 to mount the gauge.
