The PS does Not have a bear trap. When you load the PS you hang onto the cocking lever while loading the pellet.

Just curious no recommendation here.  Just a question.  Didn't the a 54 or 56 win a FT competition that someone posted?  But other than that wouldn't mind having a Pro Sport.

hector won with a 54. ive only had dianas and hw's so im still in the diana-hw mode but if she is buyin what the heck get  the prosport, but you have to give us all a revue and LOTS OF PHOTOS

Robert I decided to go pro sport, The reviews on it are great. I own 4 Diana's now, its time to change up. Don't get me wrong, no complaints with any of them. She is buying, but she also wants a 9 sig compact for Christmas.

Here's a little common since loar on airguns! and cocking levers or break barrels! It has been said by many many people in the past and now, I don't care who made the gun or what kinda safety mechanism or hold open device is made into the gun never ever take your hand off the cocking lever or barrel on a break barrel gun when loading it! That said the PS does have an internal block that pops up to block the trigger when the lever is in the cocked mode, all airguns {springer's} lock up is held from the piston and trigger mechanism, yes the ratchets on the TX and 48 type rifles give an extra measure of safety but never trust them! JMO

OK guys it's been decided. I get the PS in 117 with walnut stock. The wife gets a Sig 250 compact in 9mm. Now the rub, can't order them until next month when she gets her Christmas bonus. I think a little patience is in order for a top of the line gun. Thanks for all the help guys. As soon as I get it I will post pictures.

   im open to change docky and by all means get her a sig,you might want something else someday . and a woman that wants her sig... priceless... dont let the opertunity slip .id check basspro and academy they might have what she wants in stock and at a reduced price as christmas is upon us and gongrats on the ps . just lots of photos and a rave review when you get it

Good Choice on the PS.....
No sale prices on them = Fair trade product. 
Get on a list somewhere..... I've been waiting about a month for my TX.  Word is The stock manufacture Minelli got behind on production of the Walnut stocks. I believe it was lack of raw goods ....don't hold me to it...but pretty certain.

Sorry for the confusion Pete.  I was referring to the blanket discount offers by the retailers, that they offer at the holidays.
The way I see it, the Mfr. delays work out for Tom, in that it buys him some shopping time.  Might make that diggin' a bit easier!
