These are just my first impression of the tool.
http://nomad-pelletmaker.weebly.com/
This is the newest version that comes in 2 parts. You cast blanks in a 5 piece mold and then swage them into final shape with a 2nd tool.
The outside of the blank mold is a little rough but the swager is more finely finished.
The swager comes in 5 parts. The piece that shapes the nose of the pellet can be taken out and is what pushed the finished pellet out.
I noticed when making my pellets that they do not have the rim around the skirt like the pellets that he shows on his website so I will be sending him a message about it. I also noticed that in his videos he hammers, trims, hammers, trims and done. I had to do that process 3-4 times because the amount of lead that is pushed out needs to be cut off or it gets stuck and the closer it gets the less room there is for lead. The defects in the noses are due to it being quite cold out and the lead did not fill the mold up properly.
I should have a couple groups tomorrow.

They look good. If they shoot good I might bite. Remind me of the old Sheridan 5mm pellets from the '70s.
Nice TEOTWAWKI tool.
Got lead?
Oh yeah, what do they weigh?

I believe they are supposed to weigh around 21 grains in .22 but he can make them lighter.

Here is a 5 shot group @ 10 yards shot with my sub 500 FPS Brocock Concept. They shot 2 inches (exactly) lower than JSB 15.9s. They fully engaged the rifling in my barrel.

Alright, finally got a caliper in. I am not sure if the steel of the die has flared slightly or not but these pellets seem to flare out quite a bit at the skirt now.
Here are the minimum and maximums I encountered on average.
Skirt width on average: 0.218-.19"/5.53-.60mm
Head width just before round part: 0.212-.13"/5.38-.41mm
Length: 0.279-.80"/7.08-.11mm
So these pellets will be very tight in most guns.

What caliber and how much do those weight. Also any chance of trying some longer distance groups ? I was thinking of asking him to make me a .25 cal mold.
Thanks

It is .22 caliber and I was told by somebody that I sent some to that they weight about 1.5 grams/23 grains.
Longer groups from me are not possible. My guns is a sub 500 FPS model as I live in Canada and we have lots of snow in our area right now. Quite cold as well
I sent some to blind dog yesterday so hopefully he can post some longer range groups.

Give it another week. I have had packages take from 1-3 weeks to arrive. I just had a small flat rate box from the US take 22 days to finally get to me while 2 mailed form the same person at the same time showed up a week apart.

He kindly sent me a quantity of pellets to test, and I clumsily misplaced them. They still haven't turned up after all this time, and I am hoping my wife didn't accidentally throw them away. I feel like a dork.

Made my own swag tool similar to the webbly and mold for a .25 cal. It's heavy and good for hunting. Will post a pic tomorrow.

No one else playing with the Weebly Nomad pellet swage? Would these shoot tighter 75 yard groups than .25 Barracudas in a Marauder or Airforce?

Those look fantastic, and I bet that they're pretty accurate as well, They look a lot like my favourite lead pellet that I use in both of my Hatsan AT-44's, The FX SmoothTwist pellet offered in 16 & 18grains,
http://airgunsource.com/store/index.php?product=FX-552216&c=297
, Personally, I think that a Cylindricaly designed pellet will out-perform any "Wasp Waisted" Diabolo designed pellet.

As long as you have enough power to throw the heavy swaged pellet fast. Waisted pellets begin to spiral above 900fps whereas the cylinders have a better ballistic coefficient but tend to tumble if they don't get enough spin. 1:16 twist barrels will be better with them leaving at over 900 fps. That is 58fpe for the 32gn .25. The 12gn .177 might actually be pretty nice for a 20fpe rifle at 860fps.
.
I wonder about leading up the choke since they won't be very easy to squish.

But the dimensional accuracy of the swaged pellet from one to the next should be way better than any sorting of commercial pellets can do. If you can get them working in your rifle there should be no fliers.

These swaged, cylindrical pellets might be a really good option for a lead free mix since they are on the heavy side to begin with and perform better at higher velocities.
