First Deer Hunt.

Almost forget to mention that one of the teenagers that my oldest son and I introduced to shooting airguns, killed his first deer opening day last weekend.   A nice 8 point.   I like to think that the trainning that he recieved starting with AGs contributed to his successful hunt.  One shot.  And no scope, just iron sights.   Said he just brought the rifle up to his shoulder, put the sights on target and squeezed the trigger.  One smoothe action.  Just like he had been taught.   He had been out at the farm shooting the high powered rifles every weekend for about the last month.  He is  16 yrs  old,  and is one of my son's step-sons.

Gun safty was the first training step.

Good to hear you and your son taking this teenager under your wing and teaching him how to shoot airguns and hunt.  Congrats to your son's stepson! (so he is your step-grandson?).

Congrats to the boy.
I hope to get my own first deer in mid November, when I am taking the entire opening week off to attempt to accomplish that.
