I can't pump my p-rod past 2600 psi...is it me or the pump?

I got a used Hill pump mk2 recently.  Also a brand new p rod marauder pistol.  The pump works fine until i get over 2000psi on the gun gauge.  At that point it gets very hard and no matter what i try i can't get over 2600 psi into the gun.  It is rated to hold 2900 and I'd like to go that high, but something is stopping me.  I an by no means light (175 pounds) and i am not particularly weak either.  The pump works completely fine except for that last 300 psi.  Could it be the pump?  Our should i just be happy with 2600psi?

Gun has no restriction or input side regulation at fill nipple ... So, if gun won't take any more than 2600 IT IS THE PUMP

I have a rebuild kit coming and the pure silicone grease...surely that will fix it?  I don't know how it could be fine until you get to 2000 then get too hard.  What part could it be?  Or maybe its just dirty or under/over-lubed?  Do other people have a really hard time pumping past 2000?

Likely one of the o-rings is leaking at pressure you can't get past .... you have to understand just HOW HIGH 3000 # is and on parts that move and slide along each other the o-rings are wear items and only last so long !!

O-ring in the final stage is probably rolling. It will (mostly) seal until it gets to a high enough pressure then nothing. You will be surprised how easy it is to pump and how few strokes you need to fill after the reseal kit...

Its the pump. I just got a .25 Mrod last week and my pump did the same exact same thing. Its the hi pressure oring that went kaput most likely. Hope you get it straightened out soon.
