Cleaning Mrod Barrel

There have been several recent posts that mention leading and cleaning Mrod barrels. I have a .22 Mrod that is about 4 months old with 1000 pellets down the barrel. I cleaned it after 500 pellets using a coated rod through the muzzle with GooGone. Lots of black crud, but no signs of leading. Four or five patches were quite black, then it cleaned right up.
I'm sure if there is leading in the bore GooGone wont touch it. I cant see well enough into the bore from the muzzle to look for leading because of the shroud. Do I have to remove the barrel and the O ring at the chamber and use a brush with bore paste? Lots of experience with powder burners, but just getting into air guns. How do you gentlemen clean Mrod barrels??
And, yes, isnt it nice to look through the scope and see those bug-holes form as you shoot!!
Thanks for your time and attention.
Joe.

I cleaned my M-rod barrel when I first got it and haven't cleaned it since. Accuracy was always outstanding with Kodiaks but poor with JSB 18 grainers. I've shot a lot of pellets through the gun and kodiaks are still just as accurate but now the JSB's are giving me dang near one holers. If the accuracy of the kodiaks and the JSB's starts to suffer I'll clean the barrel again with goo gone like the last time, I don't feel the need to use anything else. It's worked great on all my air guns so I'll stick with it.

If it was easy it wouldn't be hunting it would be shopping.
