Nah, no blanket or tape, I just head into the woods and  simply be as careful as I can.  None of my guns are "closet queens",, they are all expected to hunt so into the woods they go    Would I be a little upset if they got a scratch or 2 ?  Sure, but it wouldn't stop me from takin em huntin     besides, I've found that they really don't get scratched during a woods hunt if I'm just careful.

Great shooting. It's hard to find time to make a harvest with a springer when you have nice pcp's at your disposal. I know my disco has put the rest of my rifles on the back burner.

Thanks guys.  I miss my Springers every couple of months and feel the need to shoot them.  The only reason I don't use them more often is noise - because of 1 neighbor next door (55-60yds out) who has complained in the past.  I really like shooting the Springers.  You get better satisfaction with a Springer when you hit the bull or a critter in the head.  The PCP's can get boring after a while, and always need air

I think you should send that 34K to me  Harry..   I hunt a section of woods that is just perfect for that rifle,, there are nutters galore, the trees are spaced widely apart and there's very little in the way of bushes or underbrush.  I'll give that rifle the  deep woods hunt it deserves on some real wild nutters that will do the rifle justice  and you won't have to worry about it getting scratched
