Match #31 scores are due by midnight on Sunday, October 31st, 2010! Mwwwwahahahahahahahahaha!

The best way to practice is to pick up your rifle and shoot it!

Bremen you should add 5 or 6 points to your score even though the 2 shots were out of the "4" ring.  Originally we were using the real Gamo targets (Which have 10 rings) and had 4 or 5 shots in them....seems a bit wasteful.....later on someone suggested the Gamo5 target sheet which would be a bit less expensive (A good idea).  So, even if the shot(s) are not in the rings.....we still consider it a pt. by estimating where it lands.

Ok....I shot badly yesterday in the Steriod 15 match....so didn't continue shooting.  Did this one the day after...still chilly but I think the shots were a bit better.

Rifle: Gamo Viper,  Sights: Barska Sportman 3x12-50mm IR 6X,  Pellet: .177 Crosman Wad,  Distance: 10 Meters,  Position: Stand/Off Hand,  Temp: +4C, Variable, 10kph wind,  SCORE: 175/200

Bremen, I agree. Those two zeros look like could very well be 3s.

Only found the time to shoot two matches this round. Going through air rifle withdrawals due to our fine NH October weather. Rain and wind for nearly two solid weeks.

Beautiful weather here, low 70's light wind, sunny and not much time to shoot.  Shot this target about 6:00 PM 10/31/30.  I need better open sight for this AG.......not that it will improve my scores.

Second pic shows  target 2 dented paper for one of my 7's, over exposure erased the hole on the 9 at 3oclock.
Third pic shows the welded pellets that scored the 10's on target 4 sitting on (hiding) the hole they made.

Of the three targets I shot today, other two are on the multipump 10yd match, I shot my best score with my oldest rifle, '75 Sheridan w/stock open sights   
My cheapest gun's score tied my most expensive rifle and set up. Both scoped, but the under $10 4x15  was a bit harder to look through than the 10 times as $$$ Hawke.
Guess this proves that the shooter is the most important component.

Larspawn, bad news sir. I've been consulting with the powers that be and unfortunately only your first posted target counts for the match. In other bad news, NRA rules say if you shoot more than the correct number of shots at a target, you lose the highest scoring shots for that bull. So, only the lowest 4 shots count which, by my math, gives you a score of 181/200.

You can shoot the match as many times as you like, but just post your single best score. If you had posted the match you shot with the Slavia first, then you'ld be sitting pretty with a 194.

Hey Andy,

No one said anything about cheating !  Everyone has a learning curve on rules and stuff, even me.  I have to check from time to time just to keep up with newer modifications to the NRA Rules !

But if we didn't have any rules, there would be no point in having a match.
