Bandits galore!

It is normally the sound of raccoons fighting.  There are a couple other sounds like "chittering" that you can use to get their interest.  The "squall" sound is partly a distress call that gets them to peek their head out of the hole so you can "light" them with a spotlight.  

They will get aggressive when they hear a call that is for certain.  In my own backyard I've had them run towards me. I can't use the raccoon calls at night in TN since they are illegal, but they can be used for day hunting of raccoons.  I just blew on mine after I scared some off and the RAN back to me!  I didn't have a gun and I was grateful the gate was closed on the fence.

Wow, after you scared them, they came running back when you used the call?  That is one effective call!  What kind to you have again?
