Was shootin spinners wth my hw-55 and just looked at how well built the hw guns are built . so i had to shoot a few photos

Beautiful shooter and nice looking Cat.
I love great shooters, even though I have a few, Including the FX.
I will one day own an HW, as I have wanted one, since I was a youngster.
My mothers Ex Boyfriend (the man I called dad) a German man, had one and that was my gun to shoot in the indoor range.
Wow what a shooter it was.

those hw-55's werent powerful but darn accurate and i mean accurate . finally had to put a new leather piston seal in 2 months ago and mine was built in 1969 . that gun will last for my grandkids , if i ever get any

You've got a Weihrauch that's on my wish-list for sure.  Even though I'm missing many of the HW models, the 55 is the first one that I'd like to get before others I lack.  Its a shame its no longer produced.  Even with my R7's accuracy and ease of use, I have a hunch the slightly larger size and workmanship of the 55 would probably suit me slightly better.  The only possible thing about it not to like is the barrel lock.  I don't know if I'd like that or not overall.  One reason I'd want to try one out, just to find out.

Have you ever chronyed your 55?  I'd be interested in hearing any before/after figures from the time you rebuilt that leather seal.  Of course, velocity isn't everything with a primarily 10m target rifle, but I'd plan on shooting one from 20-30 yards, and maybe as far as 40 if I had one.

calmark its been a while since i cronied it . think it was with the old seal but with cphps seems like it was in the 550 560 range . im sorta hopin its up to 600 with the new seal . i got some shots out in the 25 yard range accuratly . and if id try 30 would be no problem . as for the rest who want a 55 it just takes time . i was lucky when i found mine in a gunshow years ago . the guy said "bb gun dirt cheep" i bought it and never looked it over as he priced it way cheep . didnt even barter as it was a steal. been lookin for another but some have figured they are more than a cheep "bb gun"

Yep, you got a steal at any price with a fine old gun like that.  Your old chrony numbers sound a lot like an R7.  I bet with the new seal its over 600 fps now.  Either way, that's a gun made for accuracy over power.  There's a small local gun show coming up in a week.  I might have to go by it and try to find a "bb gun dirt cheap" just like yours.

cal mark i had to grow used to the barrel lock but you know its adjustable and the barrel always locks in the same place . wont shoot loose or wear in . mabe thats 1 of the reasons its so accurate . the weight is nice too for the size its about 7 pounds , looks heavier than that

Guys, my opinion is....there ain't nothin' worse than having to bite your tongue!!

If you know you're the winner, or you realise you aren't....or you know you've been had, or a fool let's you know he just dropped his pants.  Keeping your thoughts to yourself should be made even tougher.  Maybe then, more of men would speak their mind.

But hey robert w....i hope the thing works!
