That's the sound of a leaked out gas ram.
weihrauch HW90 TB full power at 26 bar is not full power any longer.
I got my scope all sighted in and was shootin' up a storm. Set the gun down to do sumpin' else and when I picked it up again cocking it was ridiculously easy and it wouldn't push a pellet out the barrel.

Wow, what a bummer to find you are out of gas!

My theory, based on some reports I've read, is 26 bar might have been a bit high.  That pressure has been known to stress the gas ram, as well as make it a bit harsher to shoot.  People filling to the max like that is supposed to be the reason Beeman stopped offering the Theoben pump for sale, for people to set the pressure on their own rifles.  I've read 22-24 psi is recommended as the max, and despite losing a possible fpe or two, it makes the gun even smoother shooting. 

I know that doesn't help you now, but to get it fixed you probably can find some new seals and replace them.  In order to refill the ram, you will need a hpa pump, and an adapter.  The adapter can be found at straightshooters from what I know.   Otherwise, maybe you can send the gun back for warranty work?  As a last resort, ex Beeman airgunsmith, David Slade of Airgunwerks is qualified to work on Theobens, so you might contact him.

You can still get the pump and the valve is under a screw cap on the back.
People were indeed over-charging their guns. That's why they hid the valve.


Can't imagine it blowing from being in the sun.  But no it was indoors.

Dang! Wonder if all the gun are being produced there or just the bottom end ones. I cant see the high end gun being shiftedto a lower standard and loosing the german quality.

Wow, so sorry to read about this, Cliff.
Let us know how this turns out.
Mark is correct, Mr. Slade is the authorized service guy for the U.S. on Theoben products but that rifle is an HW product so I'm not sure how that would play out. David certainly knows those guns like the back of his hand but that is definitely a warranty issue that should be taken care of quickly.

Oh I got an RMA from Pyramyd and sent it to them after making a nice frenched shipping case for it from pine and  1/4" luan

Cost me $41 to send it there with a grand worth of insurance.
  I wonder if they 'll send it back to me or squeal for an FFL.   My state is positively  psychotic with it's gun laws.
You can comply with everything and still be charged with a felony and sent to prison.

Oh no!  What is this world coming to?  A German gun supposed to get fixed by the Chineeese.  Man, can you imagine a recall because the Mercedes in the USA have a frayed carpet seam after 20 years on the road?

I would think that the Euro made guns stay here for repair, makes more sense money-wise too. Why on Earth would they send a gun completely around the world for a repair when it can be done here?
