Benjamin 312

My grandpa has a Benjamin 312 that is fun to shoot at cans, but just has no power left, no doubt needs a major seal overhaul. But will putting some pellgun oil through her seals make her hold a bit more air?

I think it's worth a try, but I have no idea really. Doubt it could hurt. I bought one of these for $50 a month ago. It's a fun little gun. The trigger is rather light. The pumping is more difficult in my estimation than cocking a springer though. Shooting about 30 rounds my arm got really tired.

sometimes  oiling and and letting it lay in the sun for a few hours helps , but probably better to reseal , timmy macs secret sauce i think is the better stuff to oil  doesnt gum uphas great anti wear prpoerties

The 'secret sauce' is indeed good stuff. My Sheridans all got a dose when it arrived. Bought a quart bottle from Competition Accesories and I just used it to roll thread an aluminium scope mount( now with 7 bolts clamping the dovetail ). Very nice threads resulted...
