Just ordered a Leapers UTG 3-12x44 SWAT scope & 80 MM Swat wheel from Optics Planet. Was just informed that the 80 MM wheel is no longer available from Leapers. I have two of these wheels and really like them. The 100 MM is too big in my opinion but it might be discontinued also. Guess I will just have to get use to adjusting the AO with the little knob on this scope. One of the best things about these swat wheels was they were very reasonably priced, thirteen bucks!
I bought a side focus Leapers/UTG full sized3x12x44 swat scope last September and picked up an 80 mm wheel at the same time. I tried every way I could to install that wheel on the scope but it wouldn't fit the focus nob. The diameter of the wheels' center hole was too small for it to fit the focus nob on the scope. If I remember correctly, there was/is a gasket type ring that goes in that center hole of the wheel..I even removed that and it still won't fit. Does the newer model of the wheel have a larger center allowing it to fit those scope nobs? Larry

Line up the rubber splines in the wheel with the splines on the focus knob. Push it on slowly with firm even pressure until it seats. Tighten the setscrews medium firm. It is a tight fit but it will go. The new one may be a little easier but it is still a tight fit. Yep...set screws backed out to just under the rim...didn't fit. Set screws completely removed and It was still too tight. I even removed that rubbery gasket type ring inside the wheel. It only went over the knob 1/4 to 1/2 but wouldn't fully seat. Shouldn't the outside of the wheel hole sit flush with the outer rim of the knob with no gap? It was my thinkin' that the wheel should look as though it was all one piece with the scope...built in, as it were.
