Just making a post in the German Gate to show my love and addiction for HW guns. I love Diana's too, and the others but I really have grown to enjoy the HW95's and HW80s and 90's.
I bought this 20 cal from SS a month ago. It had the new cocking shoe, and minus a piston liner, which I am growing to like. I am able to use a .128 wire size spring (2G HW95 Vortek kit) and a Maccari Hornet seal. This child pushes FTT's along at a consistently average 820 fps. It is a one hole at 30 yards gun. And 40 yards too, but not everytime. (user error). The addition of the custom stock has made this my go to gun for pesky squirrels that raid my pear tree. But.....I also enjoy kersploding pears with it from about 50 yards. It has a quick snappy cycle, not harsh, no buzz, and is just a joy to sit and shoot 20 or 30 pellets into whatever needs some lead added to it. I don't kill song birds and stuff such as that, but if an English sparrow or Starling or Crow lites within range, he's gonna get it!!! I have a Leupold EFR 3x9x33 efr scope mounted on it and it is balanced so sweetly that I will frequently just stop and shoulder it. I have recently bought a few PCP's........but I will ALWAYS love my springers.

Beautiful rifle. I think I would have to stop and fondle it every pass by the gun rack too.

Thanks y'all!!! I should have angled the gun to where you could see the butt better!!! It has a nice butt. I like nice butt's and I cannot lie! But the accuracy of this rifle and shot cycle is PCP like. No...not bragging (much)....just used good components and topped it off with ARH top notch lubes.....but not too much. I think I'll set it out in the heat until the condensation goes away (bout 10 minutes) and touch off a few round at 40. ANYTHING to make the time go by until tomorrow!!!! (Royale500 Day)

Welcome back to the GTA and thanks for sharing some of your collection.
Your R9 looks great and it sounds like it shoots even nicer. I too have the same gun and caliber, though its in it's stock form. I've been distracted by my other springers lately, but I really should take it for a spin sometime soon.

Thanks for the welcome back. And thanks for the other replies as well. Yes, when the Gateway was on the older format, I joined and learned alot. For some unknown reason, I just didn't get involved. But then, I come over here and find a warmer reception. I like to be liked. And I like to like. And I like sharing without feeling a need to try and impress. Fellowship is good. And when the fellowship involves air rifles.....its even gooder. Good night to all of you. Tomorrow is going to be a new and wonderful day. Ol Abe Lincoln said it like this: A man is as about as happy as he makes up his mind to be. (Y'all forgive me....when I start getting sleepy, I start trying to wax philosohical!!!! And as you can tell.....I ain't no philofiser) (Or speller) .........lol Night night.

You know what I like about my German springers??? I have taught myself how to tear 'em down and work on em myself. And as far as I'm concerned, when I've got the blues, or am anxious, or just plain bored, self tuning a springer is great therapy!!!! And ......if it actually turns out great, there is even a euphoria to go along with that therapy!!!! Having said that.....guess what i'm gonna do tonite and tomorrow. I'm gonna tear the rifle in the pic down....check for galling (shouldn't be any, but who knows) relube. Try a different spring....the possibilties are endless. And if it shoots worse, I can easily put it back to the way it is now.
By the way....thanks for all the nice comments. It was just my way of introducing myself to the German Gate. Proud to be called a member here. And yes, I like Diana's too. In fact.....a Diana was my very first German air rifle when I first started back airgunning since childhood.
