Lubing the trigger would have nothing to do with the way that it groups. That said, and if you put a lot of lube in the trigger (which requires very little lube at most) and it migrated into the piston and seal area, you would probably have excessive detonation resulting in wild groupings due to the variation in velocity. When the action is taken out and you can see the two main catches that hold the piston when it is cocked, greasing the lower one - visible just above the top front of the safety results in the very tight group that the gun shot pre 600 shots or so - i'm currently at arrount 900 I've tried the oil-moly mix and the lithium red and tacky grease and it simply wipes it right out. The trigger pull is noticebly rougher then and very difficult to consistently bring to the second stage. Also the grouping becomes poor.
