Set up an indoor range

Or, I built a pellet trap and found a place in the basement to shoot at it. I get about 15m. I've been shooting offhand and boy do I stink!   Still fun, though!

Very nice setup!  The best I can get in my indoor range is 10m.   Your shooting doesn't look bad to me and will only get better.

Well...I think I will not bet anything against you on the results of an off-hand shooting competition... Once winter comes again I am going to need something similar, and I suspect all the rifles I ahve the most fun with will be gathering dust( RX2 and Marauder ) while I shoot the lower powered stuff like my Son's Titan and XS12.

It is nice to have an indoor range. I have a little more than 5m in a straight line down the hallway and can stretch it to 10 m if I shoot crossways. I only shoot crossways when I am the only one home. The trajectory goes across the family room by the stairs and down the hallway. Afraid to shoot the kids or the dog that way.
Today for instance, 103 F outside, 65 F in the basement.

Oh they're down there. They have to pick the pellets out of the duct seal or they don't get their gruel.

Nice setup! Homes around here don't usually have basements but I'm suspecting that a neighbor close by has an indoor range setup. I can hear them shooting in the early hours of the morning... I really don't even notice it unless I try... Passing cars are louder..

A basement would be great! The weather has been so blinkin' hot here, I haven't been able to go outside often.  My indoor range is limited to a very short distance unless I set up in the hallway. That gives me a bit over 30 feet, but I only use that if I'm home alone. I keep my target box set up in my recreation room. It's only about an 7 or 8 yard shot but I can use to set scopes. When I can place several pellets inside one bullseye, then I can move outside to my 20 yard range to complete zeroing. This short range is also a good way to break in a new or newly tuned gun. I believe it helps develop my holding technique on various rifles as well....and I need all the help I can get!
