NPSS issues.

I was really excited when I got my NPSS earlier this week. But today, I'm a little bummed out. I have been having a lot of trouble getting it to settle in.  Spent most of today working on this.  I thought I had it figured out - I thought it was the scope.  So this am I pulled the BSA 3-12 off my trusty old CFX and put it on the NPSS>  didn't change anything.  In fact it seems to be getting worse the more I shoot it.  I did notice that there is no lead-in taper or loading port on this barrel.  All my other rifles have some sort of champher or taper for loading the pellet; not this NPSS.  It is cut off square at the back of the barrel. This makes some pellets difficult to load.
I started seating the pellets about 1/8 inch from the end of the barrel, and this helped a lot but after firing about 200 rounds today, I still can't consistently hit a coffee can at 30 yards.

I did the thing with a brass screw and some polishing compound to  break the square edge at the back of the barrel just a little which makes loading easier but it still isn't grouping.  I am having my best luck with CPHP and JSB Exact jumbos but the groups are like 6 inches at 30 yards.  If anyone has any ideas, I am all ears.  I think I will get some 7/16 brass washers and take as much play out of the barrel as I can.

 Have you checked the stock screws to be sure they haven't loosened up?

Check the barrel breech pivot bolt. It may be loose...

My Trail NP drove me nuts for a few weeks, but it seems that I can't miss with the "dang" thing! Today I tossed one of those 6oz cans that sliced mushrooms come in out about 20yd. 48 consecutive hits later, I had bounced it out past the 40yd mark. (Patience Weedhopper)
