Rifle Canting

I'm in the process of breaking in a Marauder .22 PCP, shooting from a bench at 30 yards. The forend of the Marauder stock is rounded and is NOT designed for "benchrest". As a result, canting is a problem. I can roll the rifle enough to move the impact point by 2", and the crosshairs still look vertical and horizontal! The rifle moves during firing and cocking so I have to bring it back into "battery" each time for the next shot.
How do you folks overcome this? What sort of techniques do you use when benchresting a rifle whose forend is rounded? All suggestions, tips, etc. greatly appreciated!
Thanks ......... Joe.

Have something at the target with a vertical and horizontal line, to compare the cross hairs to. This will help reduce the cant.
You can also get a bubble level that will attach to your scope rail.
