Prior to buying this pistol, which I've had for a couple of weeks, I did my usual research and was surprised by the good/bad variety of reviews. I also own a Diane LP-8, which is a smooth shooting, high quality springer, and other than a couple of minor quibbles (hard cocking, sighting device moving from recoil), the Browning holds its own impressively, mainly because of its accuracy and nice construction, and the nearly recoil-less floating grip is a high point. I went to a hardware store and picked up a couple of 1.25" 6 x 32 bolts and a pair of aircraft nuts in order to keep the BSA red dot from moving, and it's much better, yet it does still slowly move toward the rear of the dovetail. Initially, I thought that when the sight hit the end of the dovetail it would no longer move, but it stripped the threads of the stock bolt on the red dot in an attempt to fly off the pistol. I'm pretty happy with this pistol. RC

Aaahh, now we move onto the Browning, thanks RC
This one looks a little more aggressive than the LP-8, do you think it is in your opinion?
I mean the overall firing behavior. Which of the pistols do you get better groups from? I've seen the group you posted from the LP-8, I like it very much. Are you able to print the same kind results on paper with this one?
Nice looking pistol, BTW
I am a Browning fan due to their legendary shotguns.
Again, nice looking piece of hardware and now I see what you mean by a cocking aid.

I posted a review on this gate of the Browning, along with today's target. I don't know if you can compare Browning firearms with air pistols, but I like this heavy hitter RC

Randall, have you done any trigger work on the 800 Express ? If so how difficult is it to take apart ? I got a schematic of the Browning and note there is an adjustment screw for the sear engagement, but it is not where you can reach it. Others who have responded have a Hatsun with a quattro trigger. I know that the Browning is made by Hatsun. Any thoughts would be appreciated. My trigger pull weight is 6+ lbs and gritty. It has accounted for 6 iguanas within the past two weeks in spite of the poor trigger, we are overrun with these nonnative species down here. Tia Bill
