Put my new NPSS across the chrony this afternoon

10 shots Crosman CPHP -- 735.7 fps 5.6 fps std. dev. velocity seemed to drop a little as I shot it.
If my aritimitic is correct thats 17.2 fpe.  Plenty for a tree rat.

Still having wide swings in accuracy.  It will shoot into a dime at 30 yards for a while and then jump around for a while.  Today the POI was 3 inches from where I left it yesterday.  I have about 200 rounds through this rifle.  I think I may have a bad scope.  POI seems to be jumping around.  If I have time this weekend, I will put a different scope on it and check it out.

Which pellets have you used for accuracy testing?

I have found that CPHP's are inconsistant in size and the loose fitting pellets are fliers in my NPSS.

I tried Gamo Hunters, Gamo Match, CPHP, Daisy (cheap), JSB Exact, JSB Jumbo - CPHP and  the JSB 16 grain Jumbo shot the best.  They also fit the tightest. The CPHPs fit very snug in my barrel - I have to push firmly to seat them.  The rest - except for the JSB Jumbos, slide in pretty easily.

I'm having same issue with the gun. Jumbo heavies work best so far... really the jsb's are ok.. the CPHP aren't doin' to well. Many on the site said they worked well. Not here. Still getting 1/4 in shot groups on a few rounds... then 3 in ch fliers... then 1 inch groups... then I'll peg a coffe can time after time from 200 feet... then scope is off... I have a week left...from PA. Put 1500 rounds through it. I'm really on the fence. You have to hold this gun tight... for me anyway. Resting it on a deck with a towel under it.... I could get it in a 3 inch hole at 20 yards to save my life.

i'm going to try a different scope this weekend.  I will  make another post and let everyone know how it works out.
