Excuse me? I really don't understand. I replied to a few private messages. I couldn't be sure you were going to stay on...I had no idea. You sounded to me like you were going to think on it. I had some things to tend to...you did not give me the impression you wanted to purchase immediately...I think the BS call is a little unfair.
I've been on GTA for years. I have the scopes. Gene, amongst others, can vouch for me.

I like the reticle
Is that reticle in all the scopes mentioned & do they focus down to 10 yards?
Thanks again for posting

That reticle is only on the 4-14 and 6-24. The 3.5-10 is a mildot. When I have the 4-12 illuminated, it is a mildot as well.
Here is a breakdown of minimum focusing distance:
3.5-10 from 20yds to infinity
4-14 from 15yds to infinity
6-24 from 10yds to infinity
I have a limited quantity of 4-14x44 front focal plain scopes that are a different configuration, but they focus down to 10yds. They are $340 retail. I'd knock that down to $190 for people on GTA.

Dang!
Looks like the 6-24 is the only model that will fit the bill with what my boys & I do
Unfortunately it is too big for our setups. Shame they did not do the 3.5-10 the same way or even the 4-14
Thanks for all the info

I was just testing the 3.5-10 for distance, and it seems to focus at 10yds to me. The focusing range increases as the zoom does, so maybe it was 20-infinity at 10X? The other option is to adjust the focal range, which I think I can do with no harm to the scope. Would you be interested in one of the other scopes if I adjusted the parallax to 10 yards? Please don't tell me yes if you are not interested as I do not want to alter factory scopes to test unless I am testing for a good reason.
Let me know. I'd be glad to try it out as I am guessing I can charge an extra $10 for an altered scope.

Sorry Guy's I did not know this thread was still active? Brusier the 3.5x10 I have been using does focus down very clear at 10yd's on it's mid range setting's for power, I would agree with Richard that it must be for the 10x to infinity, I think I even mentioned that on the original write up? Not that I shoot my .22 XL at that range often, but I have for sighting it in with different pellet's.

Thanks Jay
I am just trying to find a scope for my boys Hunter Field Target class that is side focus & we are allowed up to 12X
He is having a hard time with the AO type being to stiff to turn so hence my search.
It appears I might have found a UTG scope that will do the trick for him

I bought two scopes from Richard, AirScopes, that arrived today. A 3.5-10x40, and a 4-14x50.......Both, Very, Very, nice!!!! I'm impressed. Nice clear glass, thin reticle lines, very bright, coated lens, nitro filled, and water proof.
I have been playing with them in the house tonight some and really like what I see. I doubt that I will get time to mount them up this weekend, but can't wait to try them out!!
Thanks Richard..........I'm sure I will be getting more.

The 6-24:
Vector Optics Raptor 6-24x50 AO SF -- $160
Shipping is included.
I have extensively tested the 3.5-10 and the 4-14. I really just got the 6-24, but it should be fine as it is of very similar design. If you have an issue, I will have to exchange or return.
